Message from the artist
I'm pushing beyond my limits by taking on the super challenge. I explored how to create a piece that works seamlessly both forward and backward, not only in terms of notes but also textures and timbre. My process started by selecting sounds that could easily be flipped and still function normally in reverse. I used synths with identical attack and release times, ensuring that they would perform consistently whether played forwards or backwards did not really need to flip the wav that would seem easy. Every sound was carefully create to work forward and backward in the entire recording.

Additionally, I recorded some sounds, reversed them, and blended them with the originals to create unique textures that work in either direction. For the composition itself, I opted for an intensity pyramid, building up and then coming down, which felt like a natural way to unify the forward and backward elements and keep everything cohesive.

This piece has a slightly experimental feel since the entire project was a huge experiment for me. It was a tougher challenge than expected, but I learned many new techniques I hadn’t considered or thought of.

Woo, the best I’ve heard all week! Really well-crafted, and it creates an anxious atmosphere that, in some ways, reminds me a bit of Dunkirk.

Very cool sound design! I like your approach for the C challenge and wish I had thought of it. The atmosphere is so immersive. Great work!

Very well balanced and great use of dynamics throughout the entire track, made for a very cool texture, which worked perfectly both ways! Great job!

What a fat and well rounded bass. Crazy good sound design with the choir giving a haunting beauty. Progression was very natural.

What an amazing atmosphere you created! I was sitting tense in my chair the whole time! Build up was very satisfying to hear all the way through. Nice one!

This is SO atmospheric, I love it! I'm seeing kind of a space horror game, the interweaving rhythms feel like heartbeats or footsteps or other things you might hear in that kind of soundscape. Awesome track and great cover art as well!

Bro, the sound design is superb! I also like how the alarm-like synth carries out throughout the whole track, It almost feels like a weird space alien has escaped containment and is now out to get you. This reminded me of the aesthetics from the game Carion!

Very nice track, liked it a lot !
It has a great buildup (could fit in a game with varying levels of tension throughout) and the quality of the sounds used for the different instruments is top-notch (and works extremely well regardless of the direction).
It achieves using the C difficulty to make a very solid track not constricted by the limitations of the rules but as an advantage, which is pretty impressive so congrats on that !

This is cool, it does have an experimental vibe but it’s also really coherent as a song and creates and carries a consistent and immersive vibe throughout. It’s sort of dark, sneaky and a little foreboding. Really professional sounding and it’s great to hear you picked up some new techniques along the way, looking forward to hearing more in future jams!

I think the most genius out of this was just how much build there is. I'm one to appreciate build, and this song builds. It got me super tense and to me felt like a stealth mission / industrial dystopia soundtrack and I am all for it!

Amazing track, nothing to add really

Really strong submission, great work.

This is truly the definition of N A R S T Y. Incredible work.

I was thinking it´s either making a track out of boring no attack - no release - only sustain sounds. Or reverse the second half. u proved both wrong. its amazing alone for that fact. But then its also freaking banger. Its one of these soundtracks where every player would stop for a sec to appreciate the music. Well done.

I think your track is my favourite so far, the care in scultping the sounds to sound as good in reverse really gave the whole thing the.. feeling of being reversed even when it's not? and I love that.

A lot of the synth design reminds me of the more industrial later Gary Numan tracks.

As many people have commented this is a really interesting track but I must say the mix and master is so impressive, great work!

I GREATLY appreciate that you took the time to make sure you could do challenge c without just reversing the waveform!

It makes the song as a whole feel more natural and less like it was done to check an arbitrary box.

I think the percussion was expertly chosen since it sounds so natural despite the strange caveat of the palindrome challenge.

I knew from the start I wasn't going to attempt challenge C but if I did I hope I would be smart enough to do it as well as you did!

cool cower art and greath work with the kick(it feals like a beeting heart)

Makes me feel like I'm hiding in an abandoned warehouse looking out for some monsters. Great work!
