Thank you for the compliments!

Honestly the more I listen to my song the less satisfied I am with it. I definitely view it as a bit of a growing pain for getting better in what I think are my weaker areas like mixing, basslines, and percussions.

Some day I hope to be able to make songs as high quality as yours!

And thanks for the compliments on the video! I'm hoping that the more interesting I make the videos the better chance I have at being noticed by others and networking to hopefully make this hobby I love into more of a career.

I guess I just need to practice even more!

No

I played percussion (mostly mallets) in band all throughout middle and high school so I like all the weird auxiliary percussion like vibraslaps, cowbells and woodblocks. My favorite is the flexatone! It’s used in Halloween music a lot.

Thanks for the feedback!

As for the part in track 4 where it goes from D - Eb - C, since it is a battle theme I wanted a touch of dissonance since it is the midpoint of the song to create a lot of tension which is why it sounds the way it does I think.

Thank you for the feedback!

I'm sorry you weren't as big of a fan of the latter tracks. The second and third ones were definitely made to be more like backing tracks for uneventful times in the game which is why they were simpler.

This is the most interesting set of instruments I have seen and that is really cool. I liked when the synth came in near the beginning because I wasn't expecting it!

Choir is one of my all time favorite sounds in any music so I of course enjoyed this song! I liked the background voices they added a lot of texture.

The standup bass was really great here!

It is very impressive that you made the song using only bagpipe noises but I was a bit sad that it never felt like a normal bagpipe was used. It was all heavily edited bagpipes which is a shame because I think a bagpipe only piece deserves to have at least 1 truly bagpipish bagpipe.

Very relaxing and nice!

The mixing was so cool making it sound like an old radio and the spin down at the end!

If the coins had allowed for it then having a rain stick for the song would be PERFECT!

The percussion was super atmospheric because of the panning!

Yeah I noticed that too. For this song I was really trying to improve on things like my percussion work, my mixing, my bassline, and my chords to make them more interesting and I focused less on the melody since I was pretty confident in that already and what ended up happening was that I wanted the 2 leads to be similar but not the same so I picked 2 synths like that. I liked how it sounds but in retrospect it does clutter it texturally.

In fact I already improved that in the next songs I made for the OST composing jam which I used a similar musical structure to as this song (I think at least).

Thank you for the feedback!

The vibraslap carried

really nice calm song overall!

Sorry I lost all focus when I read the comments on the video, did you play Fortnite with the youtube link as your name or was it a random person that happened to do it???

Also what a bombastic opening it was really cool! I really like that you gave breathing room right after it before going into the full song!

I liked the beginning with the distant sounding bagpipes a lot! sounds like an approach from a battlefield!

It came to me in a vision. I had the idea for a coin that bounced to the beat so I made a story that would fit that.

WOW that is a ton of effort that went into the video itself. I read all the info you gave and it is clear that this was something you put a lot of passion into.

I preferred the Sun over hanged man because of its faster pace but both were really nice!

The bagpipe sections were my favorite they were very fun and fast paced!

I respect the attempt for least coins used. Sometimes the song clips for being too loud and the triangle feels out of place sometimes.

I think a lot more could have been done with the lower bagpipe. As is it just holds a single note for the entire song which isn't very interesting to listen to.

This was a really great piece! It felt extremely cultural and it was well done!

This song uses the exact notes that play in the Avatar The Last Airbender credits sequences. it was quite pretty!

It definitely isn't my style of music but it is impressive how full you got it to sound with so few instruments at your disposal. Great job!

Background ambience was 3 coins not 5. I got really confused because looking at your totals I was like, "your totally over budget what do you mean 1 remaining coin" so I pulled up the spreadsheet to cross reference and noticed the difference. I would recommend changing it so people don't get confused like I did.

I liked the animation it was very cute and the song was really nice too!

I liked the way the synth would wiggle!

What's that I see up there? 16/16 coins used?

people are gonna get confused because we can only use 15 coins which you did do properly by adding the triangle to reduce it to 15 coins used but out of 16 makes it look like there were 16 to start with. not to mention that you put 16/16 which is both not allowed and not mathematically accurate to your totals.

The vibraphone was my favorite part because I adore mallets.

It's so pretty and breathtaking as all your songs are! I think the middle section felt a bit empty but overall it was fantastic! The percussion especially was super nice!

The music was great as usual but I gotta talk about the visuals! The coin counter was slick and very pretty but when the sun came into frame I already knew what was gonna happen and when it fit perfectly into the center of the circle of coins it was amazing!

It was so bouncy and fun and just a joy to listen to!

I thought the Er Hu was very nice and I wish it were used more throughout the snippet you chose

Thank you for listening and enjoying!

WOW thank you so much for taking the time to review it so thoroughly!

I’m not great at making things sound realistic yet and since it was on such a tight deadline I decided to use what I am familiar with and do a great job rather than half bake a more realistic sound.

I greatly appreciate the feedback and compliments and I do agree it would sound awesome in a big band style! I am impressed at how realistic others got their compositions to be!

thank you for the compliments! I enjoy making little animations to go with my music so people have something fun to look at while listening!

I have played forager but that was like 4 years ago or something so I don't remember the soundtrack I will have to listen to it. thanks for enjoying them!

When I thought of the piccolo representing the dragon I was very happy and I am glad it translated well. I really did have a lot of fun writing these and yeah I think I work pretty fast. I made all 4 within 24 hours since I was finished with everything halfway through the jam.

Thank you so much for listening and enjoying it!

Since I prefer going for more catchy anything music over fitting the theme exactly, I have to find other ways to fit the theme and the easiest to me is to have a reason for every instrument to be there other than just because it sounds nice.

Thank you for liking it!

I appreciate it!

Thank you so much!

This is the very last entry I am ranking. #126!

What a way to go out too! The journey begins was so climactic and cool!

I kind of wish that the energy stayed for a parting of ways too but I did still really enjoy the climax of that song it was very peaceful and nice!
