Title
Fleeting Sunset by PPEAK

Description
I interpreted the prompt as a depiction of a player's 'journey's end' or 'day's end', in which a sense of peace and respite puts the player at ease after a long and, most likely, difficult journey.

I focused heavily on the composition of the piece which doesn't take on a proper time signature, and flows freely without giving the listener a sense of where the piece is going. I typically loop my pieces and prevent them from resolving, because the tension drops. However, because of my interpretation of the prompt, I resolved the piece in a bit of an obvious, but comforting manner at the end.

The instruments I chose all have a calming, 'day's end' vibe - especially the acoustic guitar and flute in my opinion. I mostly used the lower register of the flute, making sure to not fall below the playable range. I hope you enjoy my piece! :)

Instruments used
- Acoustic Guitar (-4)
- Cello (-5)
- Flute (-4)
- Tuba (-3)
- Triangle (+1)

Total of 15!

I love that the melody has this bittersweet tone to it that says, "it's over, but that doesn't mean it was for nothing" which is very pleasant to listen to. The acoustic guitar also gives me the idea of resting by a campfire now that it's sunset.

Personal preference but I think removing the very last note would give it a much more fitting "journey's not quite finished" ending. Going to the tonic feels to final for me, I'm not going to dock points or anything for it, still a masterpiece either way :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you very much for that feedback. It makes a lot of sense. I will keep that in mind next time I write a piece like this!

The only bad thing about this song is that it’s over, great work, keep it up!

This painted a great picture of the "journey's end" feeling, those type of songs always stood out to me and I enjoyed this one as well.

I really like how you slowly paint the scene you're going for by gradually introducing and melding the various instruments together over the course of the music. Great job!
