Description
We envisioned an open world game set in a world of floating cities, each powered by a dragon. The main character bonds with her dragon through music, and the two begin their journey to explore the cities of the dragons, and to uncover a sinister plot to tear them from the sky.

"Into the Sky of Scales" is the title track, with fast acoustic guitars and an upbeat drum groove to give a feeling of adventure. The harp and piano lines dance around eachother, representing the connection between the girl and her dragon.

"Coasting in the Heavens" plays as the character drifts high above the ground, surrounded only by clouds. The softer noises and heavy use of reverb gives it a dreamlike quality.

"Darkness" is when the character is at their lowest. A somber, somewhat harsh electric guitar is contrasted by the harp and piano, representing that the girl and her dragon are in it togerther, even at their lowest.

"City of the Dragon's Harp" is the theme for the largest city in the sky. The orchestra gives the city a grand, royal, and majestic feel.

We used Reaper as our DAW of choice.

Theme

Chronicles of the Azure Sky: The White Dragon's Melody
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The songs heavily use a harp and piano working together; this is meant to represent the girl and the dragon, respectively. The image and title both imply a freedom, fantasy, and adventure, which we tried to capture different aspects of with the music.

Fanatstic! The fusion of instruments and genres is unique, and sounds great! It makes the OST sound so varied, but still connected.

The first track's beautiful melody over this "band music" accompaniment really captures the feeling of "these are the days of our lives", and it sounds perfect for a title track.

The second track creates this LoFi-Soft-Jazz heaven that I could live in forever. It's beautiful, melancholic, haunting, and just really pulls you into this world. Probably my favorite track!

Electric guitar on Darkness - *chef's kiss*. This kind of harsh guitar becomes so comforting in this context, and it fills up the space while your beautiful melodies float above it....

The more cinematic-orchestral vibe of the last track is a really cool diversion, while still in line with the other tracks thanks to the harp. Your use of ritenuto shows really good understanding of stress and relief. The only thing 'holding this back' is that the strings 'can't catch up' with the melody sometimes, which is s problem I also face a lot with digital strings.

Overall, this is fantastic, ya'll did a great job, and I honestly can't wait to hear more from you!

Very interesting approach to this, I like the direction you went in with the use of the acoustic guitars and drums, feels very original from what I've been able to hear of the submissions

My favorite is probably Into the Sky of Scales cause it's such a catchy tune, I think it balances all the instruments the best of all of them too

Also overall I'm a big fan of the bass lines throughout the whole thing

I really liked Coasting in the Heavens, the guitar melody was beautiful and the side-chained choir was a really nice touch. You pumped out a lot of quality tracks and they were all varied too, good job on this :)

Great selection of songs with equally nice production value ! I quite enjoyed the darker atmosphere on Darkness (hence the name of the track), and the rest was top notch as well. Congrats !

These were all very nice songs. A solid selection of tracks that I don't find any fault with. Great job!

I really like Coasting into the Heaven! All of the tracks were great but that one was just nice to listen to, I could easily listen to it over and over again

The guitar in "Into the Sky of Scales" does so much for the track, and the other instruments complement it perfectly!

"Coasting in the Heavens" has such a chill vibe, but I also love that the droning synths in the background add a little bit of tension, maybe to indicate that things aren't quite as they seem...

The harp, piano, and distorted guitar(?) work together really well on "Darkness".

Love the orchestral feel on "City of the Dragon's Harp"!

Overall this is a super cool project, congrats!
