Description
**Taken from project page**

StreetKnights is a (fictional) '90s cyberpunk-inspired beat-em-up, created for the 2nd OST Composing: Crunchtime jam.

The Story:
In a world where the Earth really is flat, the world is shrouded in darkness when a giant ceiling decends upon the plane. It's a spaceship of some sort, but there are no aliens in sight---just the endless dark. With only the invisible radiation from the ship's mysterious engine to keep the power on and the Earth warm, life has become an endless struggle for survival. The streets are no longer safe. In the midst of this cruel world, three individuals are drawn together by the threads of fate, by the unearthing of the mystery at the core of the world.

Juno is a hacker---and a pretty good one at that. She relies on the technology in her surroundings to decimate her opponents from the one place they're always vulnerable: their back. May is a mercenary, having just been dishonorably discharged from the sky carrier Avallonis for being drunk and disorderly, who thinks of herself as the self-appointed sheriff of her home district. Julius is a barber by trade, and a brawler by life: no one messes with him or his people, because if they do, they wake up the next day covered in their own blood.

When these three cyber warriors discover three mysterious disk drives with a commanding message hastily scribbled on top, they set out to join the others in the task the message appointed for them: Bring back the sun!

Tracklist:
StreetKnights - 03m09s
This one is the main theme / title screen of the game.

The Lonely Keyboard Princess - 03m06s
This one is Juno's character theme.

What Good is Honor? - 02m43s
This one is May's character theme.

Message from the artist:
More tracks were planned, but due to life circumstances I didn't have time to make them within the deadline. This includes a character theme for Julius, pause menu music, and stage/boss battle music. I might update this OST later on with those tracks but we'll see. Thanks for listening!

How does it fit the theme?
Basically just used electronic instruments with a rock-EDM vibe.

Great harmonies right off the bat. Love the idea of character themes, would have loved to hear Julius theme as well. Great work!

Love the vibe on the Main Theme, the style reminds me of an old game for PlayStation 2 called Raging Blades. That game imo had a banger soundtrack, but unfortunately was never released as an OST.

Love the idea of doing a track for each of the characters in the jam image! I had a very similar idea, but ended up cutting it due to lack of time. I know time stopped you from finishing all the tracks you wanted to make, but I’m really glared you shared with us what you could.

There's some really good stuff in here, one of my favourite submissions!

Bring back the Sun! With Mad piano! And brass!
Really nice soundtrack... and  now I wanna play that game ^_^.

Wow I can practically hear the punching and lasering sound effects as the trio blasts their way through enemy minions. I love that you used the characters from the image - really gives them... character. My favorite part of all this is the rolling piano in StreetKnights. It's one of my favorite things to do in my own music and you crushed it!

As a side note, I used "bring back the sun" as the plot for my first ever OST comp jam. So I'm sold on this game idea :)

I really enjoy the piano leads with the breakbeat drums! That would work nicely as a title screen track! And that the character themes use similar instrumentation, and occasional motifs, but have their own characteristics, so you can tell they are from the same soundtrack, but convey different things.

Pretty cool game idea you have there overall, it’s impressive that you put in the work to plan all that out!

Some really cool stuff, the themes all really fit the vibe of the character they're for, it's really cool. I love the guitar in the last one too. Great work!

I like the 3rd track, and the imaginary game makes me want it to exist, or even a film or something, you're a good storyteller!

Nice work! I dig the amount of personality in the character themes, they really add a layer of depth to your take on the theme.

I love the oldschool vibe! Intermittent melodic parts kept things interesting throughout, especially those piano sections in Street Knights. Some melodies seem a bit random at times. Maybe try to come up with a theme or two and experiment with variations. Great beats in Lonely Keyboard Princess and What Good is Honor. Very wholesome soundtrack!

Thanks! The idea was for these themes to be the root of a bunch of variations throughout the soundtrack--e.g., each stage would have its own music, which would be a variation of the theme of the main character of that level. Obviously I never got that far xD

StreetKnights: Cool opening. I like all the variation you added here. It makes me think of an anime. Especially with that piano. Good job!

The Lonely Keyboard Princess: Ooh, nice synths. So far this one is my favourite. I can just imagine us being introduced to this character while this theme plays. I quite like the stuttery percussions you used in this one too. And all the drum fills. very nice!

What Good is Honor?: Oooh lovely synthwave synth in the opening. Love that attack on the cutoff there. Beautiful. Neat little synth with that rapid arping effect too.

Nice work! Personal favorite is: The Lonely Keyboard Princess.
