Description
In the endless emerald forest, you are running away from the darkness. Shadows will follow, and sometimes attack. You can’t turn back, just have to keep going. There seems to be light in the distance.
The music is built upon a bass-ostinato throughout, various instrumental/vocal layers can drop in and out based on the situations — wandering, running, combating, etc.
Daw used: Logic Pro.
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
Recurring motifs represent the endless cycle of running away. Relatively fast-paced with tempo change for a sense of urgency.

Hi, thanks for this submission and sharing your track!
It was really good, it put a great atmosphere with the recurrent ostinato in the background. Really loved it! All the instruments greatly blend together the more the tempo changes, with a grow in intensity.
Awesome! I also had some Kingdom Hearts 2 vibes with the piano and everything. :D
Cheers, thanks for listening! :)
This is beautiful. I love the chord progressions in this. So subtle too and yet captivating. Epic buildup with the increasing tempo. That harp line is fantastic, and the piano solo is extremely expressive, and then the quiet outro with the choir *chef's kiss*. Very well finished piece. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much! I learned a new phrase from you today:*chef's kiss*, I like that :)
Absolutely fantastic! It amazes me how much you're able to do with just a single ostinato! The lead solo was great, but what really makes the whole piece for me is when the piano takes the stage. Everything from the rapid speed up, to the constant stream of notes, to the sudden drop back into the eerie quiet, and finally the beautiful vocals drifting into silence. Amazing job!
Thank you so much for listening!
Nice, especially the lead solo was pretty something. The only issue, and may be just me, but the vocal panning all the way to the right feels a bit weird, maybe less panning would be better. Keep it up!
Thank you! I actually can't remember why I did that lol, thanks for noticing!
This has quite an autumnal feel to it that I can't better describe. Love your ostinato and your vocals, such a nice touch! The vocals give it an interesting dreamy feel as well. You're beautifully on theme too and I wish you made more, great job!
Thank you very much!
Loved this piece. plain and simple. I am not sure what about it brought me back to something in my childhood, but it really struck a chord for me. Great Job.
Aww I'm glad to hear that it has a meaningful impact on you. Thank you so much for listening.
Really nice build up (as others have mentioned), the synth solo is so cool, the intense piano part that comes in at the climax is so so good, and the solo vocal sounds so gentle and perfectly fits the mood. Great entry!
Thank you very much!
The velocity and build of this, followed by the release, was incredible. Unique, great stuff. One of the best in the whole jam.
Thank you so much! It means a lot to see your comment.
Good stuff! Really like the part at the end with the breathy vocals, would have been cool as a standalone track too!
Thank you!!
Great track! The build-up is very satisfying to listen to. There's a very high level of drama and you keep finding new ways to raise the stakes. It's really cool!
Once the breakdown happens, there's a sudden sadness. I feel that if this was the final theme of a game, the victory must have been a Pyrrhic one. That vocal near the end was a very cool surprise too. Great voice. Beautiful, especially the way you pushed it almost in the back of my mind with the reverb.
Great work!
Thank you so much!
Lovely despair
Thank you! Lovely choice of word :)
Very cool - I love how it flows from one section to another!
Thank you!!
very cool, sounds quite exciting and every time a new layer gets added it just keeps building up to the climax. cool tempo automation too to add energy (sick solos too)
i liked the style of the track with the blend of electronic and orchestral elements
great voice btw u sounded very good and it was very fitting for that last part
good work!
Thank you so much!
I loved the opening! Very pretty, and this particular chord progression fits that sense of hopeless running you describe in the story. The various solos for each instrument were so cool! I loved how you upped the tempo-- great climax! Beautiful vocals at the end-- something about the solo voice really added to the forest-ey feel of the track.
My only advice is this: having the same chord progression on repeat the entire time can be limiting. Try to experiment with the recurring motifs another way, and let the harmony be more flexible. Still, a very beautiful and well-mixed track!
Thank you so much for the feedback! I was trying to make something that can be easily stacked on top of each other, would definitely love to try something different next time! :)
No problem, and thank you for sharing your awesome music (and voice? Was it you singing on this track? if so, you sounded awesome!)
Yes it was me (just for the solo voice, for the choir sound I used one that came with logic pro)...thank you! And thanks for sharing your work, too! They're really great!!
Wow
Just Wow. I love your track ! Each time I thought it was at it's climax, it went better and better ! Congratulation, really. And thank you for this wonderful soundtrack
Thank you very much! And thanks for listening!
Really well done! I loved it! The vocals at the end are really lovely!
Thank you very much!
