Neat idea. I included it in my Nordic Game Jam Online compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
If I could rate the game I would give it five stars intense. The only possible improvment I could think of would be sound and/or music! The werewolves kept getting me
Thanks pal, glad you enjoyed it!
Those bears, I swear. Nice dungeon crawler! I had fun.
Thanks for playing! Yeah we thought about removing them in the middle of the jam, but in the end they spiced up the game and made it more challenging.
This was a really well-executed concept, which is amazing to say for a game jam. The banning mechanic is great to keep the player on their toes, and I was genuinely getting chills when getting chased by a bear. Amazing job.
Nice to hear you enjoyed the game :)
I was watching your stream and really was happy to see your reactions to the bears ^^
Really nice game here. I love the concept of having to choose certain abilities and attacks before the game starts, very entertaining and actually quite tricky.
Nice game! I like that you can use dash to attack as well in case first card was not selectable.
At first I didn't realize I could right click to use the second card. Maybe you can add some instruction for that, or you can do it in the card select menu where left click chooses left card and right click chooses the right card.
Good job overall!
Hey thanks for the tips. The card selection with left click and right clicks sounds like a good improvement. Right now you only specify which card is selected for left and for right by the order you pick the card (first one left, second one right).
Challenging gameplay!I like how the combat combines elements from both card games as well as actual 2d combat. This was fun!
Really enjoyed this one! The later stages were very challenging and for sure sent adrenaline through my veins! :) Making the last used card not selectable was a good call and forced me to use cards I wouldn't have otherwise.
We really struggled at the beginning with integrating the cards into the gameplay. First we tried to change the cards when the player uses them, like playing them out and picking up a new one. But this was way to confusing :D.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've been thinking about interesting ways to turn different types of games into CCGs. This tells me it's possible to make a dungeon crawler one!
Its a funny game and i like the idea that your cards are your spells. It remindes me of slay the spire :)
thanks man :) We didn't hat this game in mind but now when you telling it, there are similarities.
