damn fun game man!
umm having to replay the same levels is a bit annoying.
I saw that you had checkpoints then disabled so hey it won't affect rating^^.
love how the green guy keeps trying new things to make the player lose.
Also love his pesonnality!
Good game!
Thank you very much! I was trying to make the boss to be "GladOS with insecurities" or something like that. :)
I loved the cut-scenes but it took me a little while to understand what I was looking for (I read that I was supposed to be looking at the wizard but didn't even notice the staff cos i was panicking over the time). Very nice game, well done! :)
Thank you very much!
I thought the game was pretty adorable! Nice cutscene. It took me a few tries before being able to get used to the staff color changes. I think an improvement would be to not make the player have to restart from the beginning if they fail, because once the player figures out the trick behind a particular level, they can solve it 100% of the time. I would prefer not having to go through the earlier levels over and over again. Overall, I had fun, it was very cute and figuring out the trick had an “aha!” moment which I liked.
In the beginning there was a replay of the current level only, when player fails. I just thought that the game was too short, so I've decided to change it, now I think that I overlooked some things and I should've left it the way it was.
Thank you for your reply!
I enjoyed the polish on the cutscenes, and the game seemed polished overall, however where Cat Saver fell down for me was with the random nature of the chests. I only got as far as the third level before quitting because the cat is in a random position each level, and there is no way (I think!) of knowing which chest it is in. Losing 3 seconds on opening a chest just meant I couldn't check all the chests, and would have to start the whole game again.
If you choose to update the game in the future, I would replace the randomness either with a fixed cat position and a lot of levels (for a memory-style game), or some way of determining which chest the cat is in (for a puzzle-style game).
Thank you for your reply!
The staff in the hands of Chestmaster starts glowing (yellow on first levels, then green) when you're close to the chest with a cat in it, so I think, this is already a puzzle-type game. On higher levels, staff starts to disappear, change colors, and in the end, it does both, but when you're close to the right chest, it glows with one color, so you still can tell where the cat is.
I guess I didn't look hard enough! I will replay your game when I have the chance :)
Yep, just replayed it an I was being very stupid. Solid game!
Thank you very much! :D
