The music indoors was good, but the music outside was terrible. The text appeared a little too slow, it would be nice if you could press e and everything would appear. Also it's kind of weird that you need to press two different dialog buttons.

I really like the music. Web Version seems a little off. There appear to be areas offscreen that are invisible. UI is really small and it could use some way of immediately displaying all text. If I press E it just skips the dialogue, if I press space the dialogue is restarted but the animation was way too slow for me.

And I think the font size can be larger for easy reading.

Also, next time making dialogues, I believe it's better to use just one button , like "spacebar" , for all the readings control, similar to typical RPGs FinalfFantasy dragonquest whatever.

I would love to play it if texts are more readable and polished.

The scrolling text is way too slow that it's slower than nominal reading speed.

Lastly, one fun fact, I thought the BLESS ME title was your game at first and was waiting for it to load Lol.

But I agree this game has its charm, I think you created the atmosphere successfully. Keep it up!

This game definitely has some charm to it!

The music and atmosphere was pretty damn good. Screen design is sometimes overly detailed, mostly with grass and path, sometimes less is more. Also some variety of screens would be nice as they're all kind of the same square. This stuff will come over time though and I do think you have potential because of the charm and atmosphere.

Thank you for the tips! It was definitely something I wrestled with, as I had initially had pathways and grass a bit more sparse but was afraid it was too sparse and players might not be aware that there were areas they could go to.

I think one of those "things that comes with time" is knowing which audiences to favor most while designing games, so thank you for helping me keep that in mind!

Congratulations on finishing your 2nd game ever! I can tell you have put a lot of thought, heart and soul into this game.

If you keep practicing and keep making games I'm sure you will nail some of the finer details which I think people will expect in a story-based game, such as the ability to show all the text when pressing E, instead of going to the next line. I found the text scroll speed was too low for me.

I liked exploring the little farm and village and reading the different texts on each object. I hope you keep making games, and telling stories.

Hi, your comment almost made me cry at work.

I started making games because I appreciate their unique ability to tell a story, so that was always something I wanted to embrace. I may have gotten carried away here in some parts, and in others not enough. I am so glad you enjoyed exploring the world I made, and I appreciate the kind words and suggestions to make things better next time!

I *reaaaally* like the music. Web Version seems a little off. There appear to be areas offscreen that are invisible. UI is really small and it could use some way of immediately displaying all text. If I press E it just skips the dialogue, if I press space the dialogue is restarted but the animation was way too slow for me.

Upon picking up the hat, the dialogue box didn't disappear and I couldn't advance using E.

Some of the hitboxes/layers seemed to have issues with what's in foreground/background.

Still, sound, animation, music was super solid. Great entry!

Wow! What a comment, I appreciate the time you took into giving great feedback. I definitely struggled with the WEBGL port.  I tried scaling everything as far as I could to the best of my ability so it would work outside of fullscreen, but I messed something up somewhere along the way so it only runs in 1920x1080. Lessons learned for the next game. Thanks for letting me know about the bugs you ran into. I beat the game like 10 times on here before I left it, so I will be looking into what happened.

Also, if it isn't apparent, music and writing are my "strong suits" and coding and game design itself is what I was here to practice. I'm so glad you liked the music! The interior theme for Grandma's house and the bar is my favorite. It was one of those things that just kind of worked. I hopped into Bosca Ceoil and within like half an hour I had the theme.  Usually when i make music it isn't nearly that easy, but I think I had been grinding so hard on the coding that my brain was like, "AHHH YES SOMETHING FAMILIAR" and it just went lol

This is officially the first comment anyone outside of people I know has ever made about a game I made, so this will be held in my heart forever. Thank you!

P.S: I am currently at work and will be checking out your entry for the jam when I'm off!
