It's cold outside, especially if you just have just been born, and also starts to snow... so you have to keep moving towards, you will find feathers that will warm up your body, but only for a few time.

Really beautiful little game, I'm afraid I didn't survive to that winter, sadly. I love the concept and the mood you achieved. My only point is that it would've been great to understand a bit more the controls. Should I spam the spacebar or use it with wisdom because I get stuck to a pit too and I don't know what to do.

Thanks for the comment Nidel. I thought about putting some instructions about the controls ingame, but I needed to find a way that it doesn't break the atmosphere, and there was no time for this and for more important things lol...

By the way, today I uploaded a new webgl version with some important problems fixed, if you have time for another try.

Sure I'll do :)

The art is almost like from a illustration from a book. This is a really great piece of art. The soundscape did give me some chilly vibes though. Almost as if a jump scare was about to happen but turns out the little birdy just teleports and starts over :)

i LOVE the art. especially the starting area with the egg and everything. so cute. the squishing animation when you hold down is pointless as far as i can tell but adorable. i made it over the ET style pit of death when i figured out that you need to space the flaps. the stair like bits are pretty frustrating. definitely lacking on a mechanical level but you really nailed the vibe. <3

Touching and beautiful presentation. The lighting and visual filter were very effective at evoking a sense of atmosphere. I felt for that poor chick.

Alas, I got stuck in the pit of no escape and was... unable to escape. Of course the game respawned me before the gap, but no matter how hard I tried, I could not cross the gap. It is a shame to miss the rest of the game.

Thanks for your comment! and I feel sorry I haven't coul get on time a version with these important problems solved... Anyway today I uploaded a new webgl version with the main problems fixed, so if you have some time to try it again I think you can get to the end without any problem.

What a gorgeous game! I loved the little details you added, like the glowing light every time the chick gets a feather and the snow that piles up as she's starting to get cold again. The painterly look fits very well with your game. What program did you use to create your assets?

Thanks for your comment Nuyhij!

I just used Photoshop and Unity to make all, and some camera filters to get that "painting" touch in the game.

Great presentation, I especially loved the effect when picking up a feather. The golden light, the snowflakes being blown away and the accompanying sound are top notch!

Wow! Clearly an incredibly ambitious project with this level of art, at least for a game jam.

I love this art!

I haven't seen anything like it in a game. It's very nice.
The ambient noise was also really cool and added to the atmosphere of the game.
I feel the jumping/flying could be more forgiving, but its not really an issue.

Oh and I like the ending. It's very cinematic.

I'd really like to see you develop this further.

I really like the art style. Really stands out in such a short jam. The gameplay is a bit lacking, though...

loved the art style,  good work! some of the particles got stuck to the bird which felt and looked a little odd (but very minor)

Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it <3
Many things to polish and not enought time, I know... it was my first time doing all the effects and mechanics.

I will try to do better next time!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

May there be a problem that makes the player stuck in one place.

My intention was that there were feathers that appear again after dying. I couldn't do it with the ones that are set over huge holes. With them you recover the initial flying force so you can jump longer. But in the current version, they disappear forever when you get them, and if you fall in the holes, you will be unable to get it in the next time. I tried to make stairs or ramps, to don't become you stuck. But one of the stairs seems to be too high an may be impossible to escape from there, making the game unfinishable... but sometimes if you try hard jumping the stairs you reach the top... so keep trying?

I rushed a lot and this game clearly need a good polish.

I want to solve all of these things in future updates, but this has been the build for the jam.
