Props for trying a card game in 72 hours! The presentation was very nice and it's a very clever game concept! I played quite a few rounds actually.

Card games are hard to balance, this one is no exception. A little fine tuning can make this great foundation into an even better game!

Developer

Balancing is form now on my new nemesis! Thanks for the kind comment.

really good game for short deadline, nice

Really good game and idea. I was playing this for a while! Amazing work! Only thing that was problematic for me was that you could get a really bad hand, perhaps a mulligan system would be nice. Otherwise, a pretty enjoyable and unique game.

Developer

As said before the balancing is... non-existent x)
There is 6 different types of cards, and you get a completely random hand, so you can get some pretty bad ones. I though about implementing a better distribution system but I was tired/out of time. I didn't think about a mulligan system, that could be a nice bonus feature, thanks for the idea, and thanks for the compliment!

Very nice idea, nice graphics, solid entry. Have you consider doing a real card game? I could be at least a print & play.

Developer

I didn't but I'm considering it now! Thanks

Presentation is very nice, the graphics are satisfying as well as the music. Nice minimal but effective instructions. Just beware of the font, fancy fonts aren't so readable and are heavy on the eyes! About the mechanics, they are original, but there is an important issue: it is more convenient to randomly press cards than to actually play the game right doing the maths at each turn D: It needs some balancing, because by just pressing cards randomly you can avoid losing indefinitely

Developer (1 edit)

It definitely needs some balancing, but I still think you got lucky x) With a bad hand you can get some -4 x 3 pretty fast and ruin your score. Thanks for your feedback, I'll give more thoughts to the cards and the distribution (right now it is completely random)

(I just checked, by playing the cards as they arrived without thinking, I lasted 01:11, while I can usually survive 3 minutes, and got up to 6, by playing purposefully)

And you're totally right about the font!

Loved the graphics :) very enjoyable

Really nice graphics and audio.  Interesting concept and good game play.  You achieved a good balance of fun and urgency.  Some of those card combinations can trip you up :-)

Why is this so good?!?!!?

The art looks amazing. The sound effects are great. The music fits.
And you incorporated the limitation and theme in such a unique way.

I love this!!!!!

Thanks a lot, your comment is an amazing way to start my day!

This is an amazing take on the Limitation, and I loved the card game format. It was a little difficult for me to understand how the cards interact with each other, especially that quickly, but it added to the intensity and feeling. I love the art, great game!

I think the theme is interpreted in a unique way, not a player moving but that you must act. Its nice. Has a bit of a learning curve but enjoyable experience. Great card and art design. Would only be better with a more developed background.

i love the art and idea, the game is strangely relaxing despite having a timer

Submitted(+1)

Wow, that great idea!

make it a mobile game I think this is a really good concept!

Really liked this! Wish I had more time to strategize, but I get that's part of the limitation. I did find that there were a lot of negative points, it was hard to get the gauge to back up.

Really great game! The presentation, design and concept are very cool. Very good job :D

Developer

Thanks a lot! I haven't played your game yet (it's time to sleep) but I can already tell you that corn looks amazing!

I didn't sleep during my math lessons!
This game made me have som brain exercise this evening .

Cool game, good job :)

Developer

I hope your brain's happy! Thanks for playing.

Very interesting, it is a good game, feels complete.

It took me a while to understand that the card "fits" the neighboring card (both value touching.

The time limit did not help the understanding.

Developer(+1)

I understand, the time limit was added to fit the limitation, but I know math and time limits don't do well together x)

Thanks for playing!

Really great game, I think there is enough there to make it into an actual card game. I actually played it today in school because I was bored and rembered it XD

Developer

Thanks a lot, your comment really warmed up my heart :D

Really cool concept and visuals! The sound design was a bit sharp and noisy though so I ended up playing with it muted, despite the music being a good fit.
