Use of the limitation
Every time you die you can keep some of the XP gained in the previous run. By dying you can increase your XP in storage which can give you stat uprgades.

The art is great! Left click didn't attack for me, though, so I never made it further than the first hallways. Also, player movement is way too free. Sound and music could definitely help this game as well. The concept is cool in that the player can change XP into health or stats! That's also a good use of the limitation!
I like what you did with carrying forward the XP and recycling it into stat boosts--it's a clever handling of the limitation.
Unfortunately, the game is nearly unplayable due to the control scheme. This control scheme is more appropriate for a racing game, not a third-person action game. Trying to maneuver the character is very counterintuitive, especially since he moves so slowly.
Another thing you will want to consider is adding sound to your games. There are bundles of music out there that you can use for free. You can also use a program like Bfxr to create old-school 8-bit-style sound effects with very little effort.
Good luck!
The graphics are really nice and the limitation usage is nice too. But the movements controls are really weird and I don't really understand how to attack properly so I keep dying.
Fun, but controls are weird.
cool looking game
Graphics are awesome! You should try to use fonts that match the style, it won’t take you too much effort and the effect would be great. Same with sounds.
I liked the concept of using exp to refill your health, but I felt the combat system was a little lackluster. Rotating the player to where the mouse points was kinda weird to me, would've preferred to just keep the character upright. Graphics were nice though!
I like that you can convert XP :)
I like the graphics and how you made controls of main character, very original! :D
Great game! I think that with a soundtrack and some more levels could become into a great idea.
Good luck! :D
