Nice simple game. I liked your game mechanics. Not enough background music. I liked your game!

This little gem is deceptively simple, and is packed with potential. You wouldn't go wrong to expand on this idea post-jam, starting with some music, then more levels.

Really enjoyed this! Well done, and good luck! :D

Wooooot I beat the game!! really fun and challenging! those last two levels were tough!!  Also was cool that it gets harder to make it to the next level on the level select screen xD   Really awesome work!! :D

I loved this game. The last level was very challenging, but I made it through. Loved the sfx as well.

I liked the concept but I think it would feel way better if the yarn shot out towards your cursor regardless of if you are clicking on a wall or not.

Fun. I think you can get away with a few more levels with the same mechanics if you mix up hazard placement. The sound played when you hit fire could use some mixing. Maybe a low-pass filter?

Yarn Ball Grapple Game has such a generic name and that's a real shame. The Developer clearly had trouble trying to think of a suitable name for this game. They also seemed to have trouble coming up with more levels. It's unfortunate, this game has potential. While the concept is quite original with the use of a yarn ball. There's just some things I wish I had seen in this game: Scissors / Sharp Objects that would cut the string you use to propel off the ground. It was very generic hazards; lava, fire, etc. However, I can see the Developer at least tried and that's something I can admire.

I've seen this gameplay mechanic used far better in other games. But that doesn't mean the Developer has failed to deliver something speical. In fact, I recommend you try this game out because while the levels may be short. There is still quite a challenge to them. Specifically, Level 5.

Overall, Nomisio has made something great without realizing its potential. Please continue working on this game! There's so much to love here! Just keep up the great work! :D

Great mechanic, amazing design, simple but good sound effects! Great! Really enjoyed playing the game! I don't know if that was intended but the level select menu is great to learn how to use the mechanic ... although I had to get used to the grappling.. played the first level so often just because I accidentally fell into that slot XD

Developer(+1)

Fun fact I actually made the menu like that because I didn't want to make buttons.

Who doesn’t love a grappling hook mechanic? And this game has nothing but a grappling hook! This game is simple, fast and fun. You could totally make hundreds more levels for this game. Now levels 4-5 are pretty frustrating, the fire is too easy to hit, especially if you try to go faster than a crawl. I would also like to be able to click closer to the yarn ball, for when you need to make fast maneuvers.

Simple and fun is exactly what I was hoping to achieve so that's great to hear! Thank you for the helpful feedback.

This is a really fun game! Well executed!

Developer

Thank you very much!

Cool game, I can imagine people speedrunning this if there was more levels.

Developer

thank you! Funnily enough I did think about adding a clock to each level so you could see how fast you completed them.
