Didn't like the fact that the sound was only in my left ear, but the concept is fun and damn I like the ArtStyle of this game!

I really liked your game! I still can't believe it's your first attempt at making a platformer. Some may argue that the controls are a bit uncomfortable, but I really liked how they work and I think they fit perfectly well with the retro feeling of the game (It brought back some memories when I was a kid and played platformers on MS-DOS). I would love to see more levels, congrats!
the graphics of the game are really nice, the controls could use a bit of work, and as FatiguedFox already mentioned the camera probably would be better if it didn't lock the player at the center and used a bit of smoothing. overall an enjoyable game.
Smooth, good concept, I'd maybe play a longer version of a platformer like this. Could see having just light unlocks as a thing to reveal more and more map as you bounce around exploring and solving puzzles in a world of eternal night.
Great art style and nice gameplay.
I had wished for a jumping sound though, and the tounge mechanic could easily be replaced by just touching the fireflies.
But I enjoyed it. Well done. :)
The games concept is honestly really fun, collecting the firefly's and having to platform over to their posts was really intriguing!
However, the jump felt really unforgiving, and the gravity felt a little strong. Combined with the constant and rapid change of the camera (since it seems it keeps the player in the middle), it becomes difficult to jump over the pits accurately.
That said, I really like the Art for this game!! It has a really nice jungle feel to it, and combined with the music makes for a wonderful mood. I also really like the main character in general, just the idea of a frog collecting firefly's with its tongue is amazing ha!
Hey, congrats for the good work!
I'll leave a feedback here if you want to continue the project:
This is an interesting idea, a lot of platformers make these jumps that you have to use the edge of the platforms to reach the other side. I don't like it at all, most of the time this is frustating. Your game does not need this, its already a very good game with the puzzle lights. I couldn't enjoy working on the puzzle thing because i was worried with jumping on the right spot
This is really close to be a complete game. I mean, "just" add some more levels and this becomes a great and original platformer. Very cool submission, I'm impressed!
Graphics are brilliant. The idea with lights is cool too. I, personally, think that there should be more smooth animations, because everything looks low-fps. Nice work!
good game for first platformer and the art is good , but W does not jump
Clever use of the theme and incorporating it into the gameplay through use of lighting. Really nice art too!
