Really cool entry, visually I think you nailed it 100%, kinda felt portal x hotline Miami in a way. I do with you could do a "Make noise" sort of command to make enemys face you, would make the desync more relevant to normal playing.

Edit: I did go back and test, but it is possible to beat the whole game desyncless. just thought that would be an interesting run. I mainly went back cause I wanted to do another run tho :D

Great work!

Pretty ambitious game mechanic, well done !

This was really fun to play. To reiterate what Reeds said, the shooting was really satisfying, just poppin caps in all the enemies and having them die in one hit was really fun. The desync mechanic was a really cool idea although I didn't really feel that I used it that much. I think you could have worked it into the game a bit better if you would have had more time but great job as a whole!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, we had some plans for other mechanics and levels that would've incorporated the desync more, but time. Thanks for playing!

Wow, this was crazy fun, even without the desync mechanic (which, don't get me wrong, was very cool). The shooting felt really satisfying, in no small part due to the really clean sound design. I could actually play this game forever if there were more levels. The whole cycling weapons thing makes combat feel fluid and intense, in a superhot puzzly kind of way. I love that you can kill the enemies with throws, it really adds to the flow of the game. Fantastic work, I can't stress enough how much I enjoyed playing.

Developer

I'm so glad you enjoyed it :) Superhot was our other inspiration, so It's good to hear we hit that similar feeling. Thanks for playing!

I liked this game a lot! It has a lot of potential. Hotline Miami am I right :)

Developer

Shh, only original ideas here :)

Now that this jam is over, I think I might actually go back and finish that game lol

I think if the hitboxes were made a little tighter, and the DeSync replay of your actions was a little more accurate, this would be a great game. I had a lot of fun!

Developer

For sure, we don't know exactly what is causing our replay system to act flaky, but that would definitely be the first thing I would look at if we wanted to advance this beyond the concept stage

This is so well polished! I really enjoyed the concept of using my past life as a meat shield to protect myself from the bullets. My one note would be to clarify the rules of what a past life can do, as I was unsure how it would behave in some situations. Great game though!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, working on better tutorialization is something we definitely want to prioritize for our next jam!

The ? key did not work with my keyboard layout (de-de), but i see your intentions. unique idea and will definetly try it again once i figure out the keys to use :)

edit: got it... you mean the ? button in the menu :)

Developer

I'll edit the description to be more clear, thanks~

I really like the concept in this one! It feels like I'm playing as an Agent 47 version of Doctor Who.
