Fun little game, I lost to a level with a lot of yellow snakes. There are a couple of bugs to fix: arrows still show up when changing level, and snakes get stuck in very tight spaces (which was helpful for me, haha). Also, I found out that the small bones don’t block you, only the skulls… maybe you should put small bones in a darker color? Or, let the player figure it out by experimenting like I did. Also, good job on the logo and title screen music.

This has a surprisingly good balance of difficulty and really nails the retro aesthetic. I actually really enjoyed, a shame that archers can't shoot past each other to speed things up but at least there's no friendly fire.
The purple snake got me. I'm glad you went for this type of gameplay. I loved it!
The idea of using 5 or more characters in what seems like a dungeon crawler is an awesome interpretation of the limitation! great job!
Fun idea and the look is nicely consistent. The music was just in my left ear. Not sure if that was on purpose. Sounds are nice anyway
Ah, that would be it! I used AudioStreamPlayer2D. I will be sure to use the proper AudioStreamPlayer in the future. Thanks so much! I think I got so used to picking 2D nodes that when I saw the 2D, I thought, "That must be specifically for 2D games." haha
The other audio problem I couldn't figure out was how to only have one copy of a sound play even when multiple instances were calling it. I may go back and clean up the code a bunch so I can practice knowing how to solve these issues in the future.
If it is possible to beat every level, I do not know lol. I think I got 5 or 6 in. Loved the 8 bit sounds. The collisions could be a little funky though, with arrows shooting through obstacles, or not shooting through no obstacles, and more than one trapped snake. I liked using the walls to shape the archer formation!
