I loved the game! And I liked how the stealth was implemented too,but the game felt very slow due to the slow player speed, but stealth as a resource is a interesting implementation,it has potential, you can develop it into a bigger game! And about the huge amount of litres of Tea..I am with you mate!!
Thanks!
I agree about speed. But the same can be used as an element for an upgrade in a big game;) As well as a stealth upgrade.
Here you need to think and experiment.
Oh yeah. No tea anywhere :)
Good game I like how short stealth is really makes you have to time it correctly.
The move speed is really slow makes backtracking to where you last where a bit annoying and some indication the enemy is about to turn around would be nice I died a bunch having to wait behind them so stealth would last long enough but they turn around instantly.
Thank! The main features of the game are just limited stealth and moving barrels.
Maybe you're right about slow speed. But it seemed to me that it was correct for walking animations. For faster movement, I’ll make checkpoints.
I liked the visuals and the overall level design. The idea of hiding for a limited time is cool. Feels like stealth is a limited resource and it should be used strategically.
I think the jumping height could have been a bit higher. Jumping over barrels and onto platforms was hard. For some reason the player interacted with the boxes but the barrels did not. This was a bit confusing.
Overall good job! Would like to play a polished after the jam version!
Thank you for your interest!
About stealth is a great statement. Can be used as a quote or slogan :)
I specially made barrels above a jump. In my opinion, this added an element to the puzzle. To jump over the barrel, it must be moved to the box. They can also pinch opponents. If you guess their trajectory.
Thank. There are such plans, for the most part all the necessary scripts for constructing the levels are already ready.
This is really cool! I like how the level design creates a kind of natural checkpointing as you hit the switches, and I love that there's an opening cut scene. :)
Thank!
The intro should have been animated :) I will redo it in the sequel.
I really like the characters, I noticed you use premade assets which we used really well to give a good atmosphere, would of liked to see some jumping sound effects or dragging noises when interesting with stuff.
I enjoyed the little things like being able to jumped on stacked crates, this is a quality of life element that you did well. I also liked how the vision cone of the enemy shrunk when touching the green barrels but I got caught several times when moving them around lol.
I found an issue and fortunately it was solved by using the Arrow keys but I noticed when using my 'Lctrl + D' it activated my browser function and tried to bookmark the page :D. Using the arrow keys helped avoid this.
So good to know for the future if you were unaware of such things happening.
Overall I really like the gameplay, It was slow, suspensful and would of really liked to see more! great job!
Thanks for the great feedback!
The sound in the jumps was at the very beginning and when the elevator was turned on. Maybe a mistake?
After the deadline, I redid the sound of the jump and added sound to the intro.
Also now a ray can notice a character when he is standing on a box.
Yes, when a character drags a barrel, then enemies can see you. It is enough to lower the barrel to the ground.
Cntr + D - this is really very funny :D I completely forgot about this hotkey!
You can also use the gamepad, if convenient.
Thank! To be continued ;)
Was a little hard to see the boxes that you could jump on, but otherwise a nice little stealth platformer.
Thank! Boxes put in the middle plan, so that they do not intersect with barrels. At the very beginning, messages are displayed for help.
This is great, I love 2d stealth games. And nice animation!
Thank! You have a great story about the office and the train :) Creating a project from scratch in 12 hours is very cool!
