Nice artstyle and concept for grandpa telling a story. There's small issue with music not looping seamlessly.

Really well done! I especially liked the way the space ship controlled, really felt like a proper ship. The grandpa telling the story was a great framing device for the different parts of the game. Well done!

This game is amazing especially for a jam. Amazing music and art and it a story to go with it. I think the difficulty needs to be tweeked a bit as the frustration took away fro the overall feel.  Also I don't know if this was a bug or not but I could not hear the music in the space shooter stage. But overall this game is a winner

Beautiful game!

Thanks for playing it!

Great that there's a story. Cool retro graphics with a stable palette. Although the music could be less repetitive (as longer or with breaks). Anyway, the difficulty is quite high from the beginning but it's easy to understand mechanics.

Developer

Thanks! Yes, the difficulty could be definitely tweaked a bit :)

Stunning game ! Loved the design and the color scheme! The story and the audio were awesome and pulled together the different genres of the game beautifully! Great Job!

Wow, thanks for the kind words! I'm happy that you enjoyed the game!

One of my favourites! Great visual style and love the different variety of gameplay.

In terms of what could be better, in the part of dodging meteors, the ship should move more naturally and not with so much acceleration, the asteroids should be more spaced and the ship shouldnt be able to teleport to the other side by going to the edge of one side.

But yet again, it's a jam game. All this stuff is just polishing ^^

Great work buddy!

Such an amazing game, the Art and story telling. The variety of gameplay. that was awesome.

Sometimes the death penalty was a bit too much :p

Developer

Thanks for the compliments!
There's a thin line between frustrating and challenging, and maybe I've crossed it😅

The colors and art are amazing! The variety of games is unbeliveabel well done ! The  only thing I would change is, that the space shuttle rotates  to the mouse position because it felt uncomfortable when enemyies are for example behind you.

very unexpected change... I like it.

I think I have to exercise my finger...

Love the art! Game looks amazing and I liked the variety, only complaint is the game feels kinda hard to control at times

I loved the idea! I would have liked a bit of a transition within phases, some minigames started abruptly but I understand the game jam limitations.

Keep up!

Developer

I'm glad you liked the idea!
Yeah, I ended up biting off more than I can chew. The game really lacks nice transitions.
I might add those in later, thanks for pointing it out!

Great game! I was not expecting this to be a montage of arcade like games when I first pressed play! I really liked the variety of gameplay. The colour choice for the art was also very nice! The music in the main scene was also very nice! Maybe some music in some of the last games would have been nice too. Overall, I really enjoyed playing and this was a great jam entry!

Developer

Thanks! Originally I planned two more mini-games, an asteroids-like shooter, and a platform game at the very end, but it was a bit too ambitious :)
Thanks for pointing it out, I actually forgot to put in the music in one of the scenes.

The art was very nice and the game was very polished. But I think the game was a bit to hard (or I'm just bad)!

I agree, I feel while some levels were quite easy, others felt unbalanced and quite difficult. Nothing a bit of tweaking can't fix though.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Somehow I always end up making a bit too challenging games :)
