I won in two steps! Beat that! :D

Cool mechanics, it was challenging at points, and I loved it.
I enjoyed the lasers the most.

Let me know if you make any more games! Keep it up!

I think this game used the theme to its fullest. The presentation was subtle and very cool (the newspaper article).

Some music or sound effects would have been nice.

Great job mate, keep making games!

I loved this! Cool story, with good humour.

This line made me crack up: "Of course, the older human, 'Cpt. Krillor', dominates the space, asserting his superiority to his inferiors. You're tempted to kill him on the spot, however he begins to speak..."

Some nice atmospheric music could have complimented the experience.

It sucks that you had to start over because of a corrupted file :( Unity might have been an overkill for this though.

Keep up mate!

Thanks! Yes, the difficulty could be definitely tweaked a bit :)

Thanks for playing it!

Cool use of the limitation, the two genres are blending in perfectly together.
It was a bit hard to see that I can enter the numbers, but after that I had a blast.
Great game!

LOL these were the funniest enemies I've ever seen.
I was dying when I saw the evil space tire.
Cool game, I gave you 5x5 stars :D

This is a good example that you can make some nice aesthetics with simple design!
The minimal style music was complimenting the graphics.
I liked the subtle joke in the beginning :D
Great game, keep up!

The art-style was very unique, and I liked the way it showed that you just need to overcome some difficulties sometimes.
The controls were a bit hard for me to figure out, but it's nothing you can't fix here.
Liked it!

Clever idea, and nice use of the limitation!
The controls were not too responsive, and the ball got stuck at the edges of the screen, but I like the idea very much!
Keep making games!

Thanks for the compliments!
There's a thin line between frustrating and challenging, and maybe I've crossed it😅

I'm happy that you liked it 🥳
And thanks for the valuable feedback!

Wow, thanks for the kind words! I'm happy that you enjoyed the game!

I'm glad you liked the idea!
Yeah, I ended up biting off more than I can chew. The game really lacks nice transitions.
I might add those in later, thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks! Originally I planned two more mini-games, an asteroids-like shooter, and a platform game at the very end, but it was a bit too ambitious :)
Thanks for pointing it out, I actually forgot to put in the music in one of the scenes.

Thanks for the feedback! Somehow I always end up making a bit too challenging games :)

(1 edit)

Hands down the best submission to this jam!
Beautiful music, very nice storytelling, great atmosphere and animations!
The gameplay was also great, I liked that during every jump, I had to trust the arrows, because I couldn't see where I'm going to land.
What you could still improve:
- The "Stop looking at the text" breaks the immersion for me, because they are "the bad feelings" and not just some "text".
- The wall jumps were a bit frustrating, because of the shift key. Maybe it could automatically grab the wall?
All in all, great job! I loved your game!

Good job on the character art! The trees are looking great, as well as the ground tiles.
There are some glitches here and there, due to lack of colliders, and the slippery material of the capsule collider on the character (eg. slowly skating down on the stairs).
Cool submission!

Haha, what a nice idea!
I wonder what would happen if you time travelled again, so you can sabotage the sabotage :D
Cool concept though, and catchy music!

I enjoyed this game a lot. It's amazing how you can communicate these emotions with a game so simple as this one.
Also, great choice of music!

Nice little game, with cute graphics!
My only problem was that sometimes the enemy spawned on top of me, so I died instantly :(

Great game!
The best part was the player control, it was very snappy and satisfying!
