Nice art and well executed mood. Some sound would be great as well. I hope you will keep working on this game, the story is pretty interesting but a bit hard to follow.

Developer

Thank you! You're not the only one who'd like something to listen to according to the comments - I'll see if I can make the mod for that work. The story itself is very simple, just maybe the language a bit flowery and archaic: the Ocean King sends the gannet Halia to see why the sun is no longer shining, and it turns out Helios, the Sun-King, is pouting because they don't have a piece of Earth of their own!

I'll have the ending wrapped up soonish, hope it feels more clear then!

It's rare to see well executed Bitsy game, but this one is great! Really love the mood of it.

Thanks so much!

A great use of minimalism, I just would of loved some somber music to go along with it. I'm a follower now! Hoping to see this developed further

Developer

Happy to have you! I'm closing in on finishing it, but we'll see about music; Bitsy doesn't have any natural sound functions!

In the beginning photography was not considered as art but only entertainment by the society, I think the same will eventually happen to game making , some games are/will be more art than entertainment.

Your game has this feel, very poetic, I look forward you finishing it!.

..wow. What a comment? Thank you so much, that's extremely kind of you!

That was cool. It's a shame they don't have a rating for mood.

I'll give you 5 stars for presentation instead.

An underrated voting category. Thank you very much!

The art is amazing. This looks phenomenal! The said, unless the web player was bugging on me, I didn't hear any audio. Would've been nice to go along with the great visuals. Can't wait to see the final project!

Developer

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! Bitsy doesn't do sound unless you use a hack to refer to a web page's audio channels and then wrap the files in a zip. I could source a free music sample, but it would only be the one track for the entire game.

The art's pretty freaking great in the cutscenes! The gameplay is simple but not nonexistent like in a lot of bitsy games LOL. Also an interesting twist on Helios, looking forward to see where this goes!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm afraid you might like Helios less in the next update given that I didn't actually draw them at all here; I supposed players would interpret them as "missing", not the big ole redness itself haha; maybe I'll keep them this way?

Love the movement of the avatar, the art is really beautiful and the writing is spot on!

Developer

Aaa, thank you so much <3 Hope I can follow through to do the ending justice!
