Wow. I don't know if that was your intention, but it kinda gave me Journey vibes. Mood was just on spot, I'm keep getting surprised what a great games people can do only within these three days :D

The blend of 2D and 3D art is pretty interesting, but I wasn't a fan of the gameplay. I see that you mentioned that the game is supposed to be this way, but that doesn't matter if the player isn't hooked by something else (like subtle changes).

Yeah I was shooting for a Dear Esther approach, but don't think it translated well. I've got an idea I'm working on for the current Major Jam that'll improve the gameplay quite a bit. Thanks for the comment!

Very very nice presentation and aesthetic, but walking the same scenic route repeatedly isn't fun.

Thanks for the comment :)

Gameplay-wise, you get nothing from replaying it (literally no difference other than the day and soul counters going up). The idea I had for the game was that you guide souls to the afterlife. It's repetitive and never-ending, but that's your duty and somebody has to do it.  So the gameplay being a bit dull was a design choice for the fairy tale narrative I was going for. That said, there is a two week game jam by the same team I may join, and we're allowed to continue mini jam projects for it. I may do this and give the player a bit more to do (for instance, jumping and doing platforming sections).

Edit: For the new Jam, I'm considering blowing this entire level up and starting from scratch while keeping the existing mechanics plus adding several more.

I get that it's thematically appropriate, but I don't think that choice is well suited for games as a medium. I would like to see this world expanded and if you do I'd love to see what you and your team do with it.
