I love these kind of games, I think this is a good basis for expanding on after the jam.
It was genuinely spooky on the first play through with the weirdly drawn sprites. I didn't know the mouse scrolled the room left to right at first though, so I was looking for an abnormality and couldn't see one anywhere until I accidentally moved the screen with the mouse and all made sense lol
72 hours isn't enough time to get a game fully fleshed out, but this is a complete game. I feel like building upon this after the jam would be cool, pretty muchusing the current assets as templates and replacing them with creepier graphics, even a photograph of an office/classroom for the actual background and etc so abnormalities are harder to spot and it's more real feeling. Also sound would be great too. I did enjoy this a lot though and it's one of the highest ratings I've given out thus far with trying to play through all the games lol
A winner is me!
Love the fast-paced game.
Only thing that I missed was maybe some sound, would really sell the experience more
Cool idea! It is generally quite spooky.
I guess it is a bit easy because the "anomalies" are drawn in a much sharper resolution than the background. So you are just looking for objects that are sharper than the rest of the game. Or maybe it's because I'm on a 1440p monitor? Not sure.
I was honestly expecting a jumpscare at any moment, and I'm kind of glad it didn't happen.
Except of course this wonderful chad at the end. I like him
When I saw the incredibly strong man, I thought to myself: This isn't an anomaly, this is just a mirror!
And then I was all "PepeHands" as I realized that even if that was a mirror, it was still an anomaly.
I got to the end though and it feels good to be a winner.
A winner was me! Poggies!
I don't know why I found this as charming as I did - but it's awesome :) Great job
