Lovely concept and execution, we definitely started from a similar conceit here and I like the direction you took it! Trying to time two different patterns simultaneously was fascinatingly brain-melt-y; kind of makes me want to explore that concept further in any future rhythm games. Though I actually found it easier to have one hand on the arrow keys for the LHC and another hand on A and D for the other. I agree that some penalty for missing the beat, some sort of slowdown perhaps, could make the game less easy to cheese… but the forgiving nature of the gameplay isn’t necessarily worth sacrificing to that!

The art’s nice and communicative, the music syncing to the beat is really fun, and I’m kicking myself for forgetting to show a visual difference when it’s possible to purchase an item in our submission, as that works great here. Well done (and happy birthday)!

I love the progression in this game, it works well and there are a couple surprises. The story is hilarious!

It's a short game for an incremental genre but I think it's perfect for a game jam! I had a blast playing it!

Buying/reading about the upgrades while keeping track of Lucy is tough. Very unique and cute though,  good job!

Such a cute idea! I enjoyed the rhythm aspect while waiting for the next upgrade :)

Nice take on the autoclicker games :) was nice when the bouncing back and forth seemingly lined up nicely with the bgm, don’t know if that was intentional but was very fun! :)

Glad you enjoyed it! I hadn't thought of it when I came up with the idea but as I was putting it together I realised it would be fairly straightforward to match the speed of the movements to the tempo of the music.

Lucy keeps randomly teleporting, maybe it's because of my browser.  :/ Idea is cool, and also I liked the music

Sorry to hear that, there's a comment on the game page about browser issues too so it might be a bit temperamental, I've added download versions that should be a bit more stable. Can I ask what browser you use?

Hey, ilike the style, but for me, as soon as i hit it at the right spot. it bounces back and forth rapidly - not sure if thats common with anyone else?

Developer

Thanks for playing, sorry to hear you had issues. That sounds like an issue I was getting early in development because of low values on elapsed time but that went away after a few seconds so it might be something else :|

I really liked the musicality and how it lined up with the speed theme. Good work.
