Awesome game! I really enjoyed the music and artstyle. It was really well done and polished!

Also I agree with the comment below that you are able to kind of cheat if you just make lines that are the entire width of the screen. so some how limiting that would probably help!

Developer

I understood that a bit, but I dont think it works so well to cheat like that.

How high could you get by "cheating" ? 😜

The initial idea was to add an energy pick up. Which gets spent depending on the length of line you create.

Damn I REALLY liked the song! This was a fun experience.

The background and art overall is beautiful.

The line swiping was nicely explained. The movement is smooth, even if sometimes the pig jumps in such a hectic manner. I think maybe a limit to the size of the line could help though? It seems like making a ridiculously huge line every time kinda cheats the game.

On the audio department, the music was top-notch, I wish there were a bit more sound effects as the pig jumped or flew though.

The story was funny yet a bit tragic.

Overall a very fun game with a lot of polish, congratulations!

Wow! I like this idea a lot. Really fun to play. Good job.

This is very clean! The only thing I would change is to set a minimum line length to prevent dots appearing if you click on snakes. Was that an intentional design choice? I got to 200 and then died trying to perform a cool stunt lmao (propelling diagonally twice in quick succession for a height boost)

EDIT: I read one of your replies! I see you had plans to draw a line through the serpent to kill it.

thanks for the feedback! Yeah  I will be updating the snake death post jam. Depending on rating 😀

Of it doesn't go so well I'll keep it as is.

After all. It is a game jam

The intro scene was hilarious. I loved how it set the scene for how this little piggy was meeting his maker.

The sounds are golden and the artwork is superior. Only suggestion I would have on that would be to move the wings on the arrow boost up a little to avoid looking like a certain body appendage.

Developer

hahaha thanks for your feedback!

That was a little concern, but it didn't look so good further up. Haha.

You my good sir,  just have a dirty mind. Haha

(I didn't notice until someone with a dirty mind told me)

The sound design for when the pig, uh… ceases to be in flight… sobs quietly

Really fun game. I noticed that sometimes when trying to click the serpent I accidentally made a tiny bouncing pad and my poor pig would bounce off at a 90 degree angle and fall to the butcher below.

This is a great game though, the presentation is professional, very impressive that you all got this done within 72 hours.

thanks! I had that concern too. The original idea was to create a line through the Serpent to kill it.

But it wasn't working, and I just got frustrated. And quit that part. (Only way to get the game finished!)

But. I did manage to get that part to work for the next game in the 20 second game jam.

Once this game finishes  (depending on rating) I may update it so u can draw a pad across the Serpent to kill it.

cute and fun gameplay

Really good! Very cute and well implemented, with nice graphics and audio as well.

The side-to-side wraparound for the pig was a bit disconcerting for me, and I got a bit frustrated with it; but I did continue to play, so I'd say you have a pretty good gameplay loop! The added dangers of the serpent and sin added a lot to the gameplay.

Don't have much else to add; this is a good game!

Fun game with good graphics. If you were to ever finish this post jam, I'd suggest making a non-gradient background that you could loop so it slowly follows you in a sort of paralax, just to give off the feeling of movement a bit more.

Hilarious game. And pretty. I like the bounce concept and drawing the line out, it's super easy to play.

Well done.

Really fun gameplay loop, I found it really fun to bounce your pig really fast horizontally, then hit it into a slanted platform for huge air. The art is cute I liked the intro animation. Overall very fun game.
