A pretty engaging use of the implementation! Not too easy and not too hard either. I think that there doesn't need to be extra lives when you collect colors, it feels like it could be even more engaging without that.  Also, in order to alleviate the pressure of accidentally colliding with your past self right at the moment you collect a color, maybe there could be an additional 1 second delay before your past self becomes active in order to give the player a chance to get farther away. Awesome work overall!

Great Idea. The movement feels nice and running from a yellow ghost from the past is fun. when you make mistake and fall on the wrong platform you have to think and redo the level again which is interesting. The yellow ghost spawn very quickly and i died many times and suddenly. on one level where i have to turn around and go in the direction i came from. Maybe the ghost can spawn after player leaves a region around color orb

Yo thanks for trying out the game! I did the ghost such that it won't move for a while, the player has to plan on taking the color and go in direction to evade the orb. I think that part you are talking about is the last level green orb, that's the challenge there you have to plan it out such that you can jump to evade the ghost! Anyway I'm glad that you liked the idea

Yo! Cool game idea. I enjoy plaiyng it.

Developer

Yo thanks for trying out the game! Glad you liked it!

I likes the concept of being chased by your past self while having to solve the level and I think you did a good job with the difficulty - if it was a much harder platformer you wouldn't have been able to elude yourself and land super technical jumps. Great work!

Yo thanks for playing! I'm really glad that you liked the game and level design!

I wanted to like this because I enjoy the bright graphics and mood, however the collision was completely bugged for me. My hexagon was dropping through the floor and gettign stuck constantly to the point that I literally couldn’t progress at all, it would just spawn and immediately fall through the floor. Before that happened, I had a lot of random “noisy” bounces that didn’t make any sense, like just moving along a flat surface I would occasionally be thrown up and in the opposite direction as if I’d bounced off a diagonal wall. Good job on getting something submitted, but it really suffers from poor collision detection and performance. Keep at it though, you will improve with practice. :)

Such bad performance might be due to your system being low end and It's probably a WebGl thing, you could have turned off the lights and try. Better would be to download and try.

Well I'm making games for long time now, even professionally, but sureee practice always help.

I like how messing up wasn't an instant loss and it also allowed some flexibility with trying to parkour around the clones. Although Celeste was your inspiration it also reminds me a lot of the Super Mario Galaxy implementation :)

Overall fun game!

That's really good, but performence could be better. I love the level design and fast paced gameplay!

Developer

Thank for playing the game, Glad you liked it
WebGL performance is bad, that's why recommended to turn off light, also yeah could have used some optimization for the clones but heck it's a jam game :P

This is a pretty good submission. Having your past selves chase adds an interesting twist to a more commonly used mechanic, and the level design made good use of both of the game mechanics. The option for turning the lights off is also really handy as some stages do get laggy for me. Ample polish can also be seen from the squishy and juicy character, along with the screenshakes that signals something happening.

Really amazed how you're able to create such a full experience within 72 hours.

Glad you liked it! Yeah could have optimized stuff but due to jam limitation didn't try much there, Thanks for playing the game!

Great game ! I enjoyed making jump and stop to make my ghost easier to dodge ! This mechanic couple with puzzles make a neat concept !

Cool! I wonder how you have your clone follow your route~ beside avoid they catch me I also see how silly I did those movement.

Hehe, yeah that's the fun part of the game! Thanks, glad you liked it!
I used a hacky way to make em follow the players path, the position of the player is read and stored in a list by the follower and then  the position at index 0 is used as input  / target for the follower, once it reaches the position, the position is removed from the list. Kinda like a queue, first in first out.

Cool mechanics! not much broken but very funny!at level 3 everything started to lag (

Developer

Yeah webgl build itcan have performance spikes. Thanks for trying out the game!

I really liked the concept of spawning past versions of yourself when you are changing your color. It fits the theme and limitation of the jam

VERY fun! The falling sounds are also very good and the take on the limitation is top tier! Congrats

Developer

Hehe, Thanks a lot, glad you liked it!

This is such a good entry! I love your take on the limitation and how it influences the gameplay. I found myself zigzagging trying to think ahead while my past self chased me. I love the art direction and could see this easily expanded into a really fun and beautiful game. I did get stuck on a ledge once or twice for some reason, but restarting the level seemed to fix it. Great work!

I love the implementation of "you are your own enemy" where I am being followed by my past lives whenever I swap colors. I love the 2D lighting it adds some oompf to the game graphically. Really cool concept and would love to see the game expand. Some levels I started off the screen which made it confusing at times.

Developer

Thanks for trying the game, glad you liked it!
And my bad again, I had multiple tabs opened so by mistake I saved the one with wrong config, Thanks again for the head up!
