How does the game fit into the theme?
This demo is only a small prototype of what it should've been due to complications (mostly funerals). The idea was that when you die, you embody someone else, there is no going back : You only get one life, and death is not to take lightly. This is not implemented yet as explained above.

What premade assets did you use if any?
The wind howling SFX can be found here : https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/search/howling%20wind/

What are the Discord usernames of everyone on your team?

I couldn't finish the game what should I do after I start glowing? I searched everywhere but every time I just fell of the world.

I'm really sorry you spent time searching for nothing, there is nothing else to do as I explained in the game's description, it's only a prototype.

Have a great day.

Well it's not finished but you nailed the atmosfer of the game :)

Thank you!!

very cool atmosphere and unique controls but there wasn't really anything to do, and the interpretation of the theme wasnt there yet. It could be a very cool puzzle game given the orthographic camera view and switching its angles.

Developer

You're absolutely right. I'm sorry there isn't anything else to do, I didn't really have a free weekend unfortunately, and I spent too much time experimenting with stuff instead of creating something playable. Thank you for pointing out the idea of a puzzle game, I think it would actually fit perfectly with the orthographic view as you said, it could also have some parkour too. I'm looking forward to making a full game out of it.

Have a great rest of your day!

Quite like the vibe of the game, especially the beginning in the darker part feels really unique and good!

Thank you so much! I'll try to extend this little world post jam!

I like the art style and the casting of shadows by the player. I am not sure whether there is an objective yet, at least I found no goal to get to. Could become a cool game tho.

Developer

You're right, this is only a prototype/demo, there isn't actually a game yet unfortunately, there is nothing else you can do except moving around and changing the camera angle. I'd like to make it a full game, I actually started working on it already. If you're interested, I'll make other posts/devlogs about it if I find the time to. Have a great day !

The atmosphere and the game feel for the game is so nice. Keep up the good work!

One of those games I'm happy it got submitted, just feels unfair to rate it since obviously it's not quite there as the other games are.

I like the atmosphere and the graphics, I cannot put my finger to it but it made me feel of old Playstation 1 games (and I only had a PS1 briefly so that's something!). Made me eager for more, so that's a good sign, just can't say much more apart from the "this looks original and got my interest".

Developer

Thank you very much for you constructive critique. I think this jam has been more of an occasion to come up with ideas rather than making a small/short game. Hopefully next time I'll try to actually finish what I start but I'd really like to make this a full game.

I completely missed the goal, but I expected it, as it is my very first jam. Don't hesitate to rate it 0 star, it's still a submission, so I don't think it is unfair, although I agree the thing is there isn't much to say.

Have a great day!

The opening scene was definitely enough to get me invested. Love the atmosphere you created - wish there was more!

Thank you so much!!

I'll do my best to continue working on the game, I think I have a pretty solid base.

Jams are for experimentation. I’m glad you found inspiration. That’s already a win.
