Magical Girl Use#64.2314.231

Ranked from 13 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

Theme 3: I'm not afraid of anything anymore
Theme 6: This just can't be right

We were inspired by these themes to create a magical girl that's incredulous about what's happening and faces the zombie hoard without fear.

I loved working on this jam! My girlfriend and I both got to work closely on this jam and it warms my heart to finally see it submitted!

I thought the sprites were awesome. I would expect a full game to make use of them a ton. Really cool art direction there. Love the combination of magical girl and zombie, haha! I think we could all use more of that, right? Great use of vocaloid rock. Made me want to play along.

I'm not the biggest turn-based fan, so the gameplay wasn't really my thing, but it all worked together.

Happy to see you liked it!

Short but fun! There was a good amount of challenge. I thought for a moment that I wasn't going to make it, but managed to pull through without losing. The premise was funny, I liked it.

Easily the most complete RPGmaker entry I've play so far in this jam. Great work!

The gameplay was pretty simple but fun; it had battles and dialogue but no other interactions with the environment (understandable as a jam game). I liked the graphics of the MP attacks and the sprites during the cutscenes. It was pretty funny overall, and I need more cynical, wlw magical girls now. Good job!

game finish, well I had fun time playing it :)

We're glad! :)

The game is good but the level design and the way the elements of the game are planned create some flaws in the way the story presents itself.
It seems that the story was built in blocks with the first fight, the second fight etc.

but if the player decides to run away from the zombies (which is what I did playing for the first time) the fight he is obliged to participate in is not as difficult as it should be which can be a problem but nothing too critical, or that it would ruin the experience

Thank you very much for so much feedback!

Pretty good. A few more fights with more enemy variations would be nice, but it's a great jam game. Nice work!

Hahaha I know!! Drawing the sprites for the battles took so much of the jam time! It's definitely something we would change if we ever made a more complete version.

I think you mentioned that you were going for a short but polished game and this definitely fits the bill. Some of the jokes definitely went over my head but I enjoyed it and found it pretty funny overall.

I'm glad you enjoyed our short experience! A lot of love was put into this project.
