That was a cool game :)

Developer

Thank you!

Really fast gameplay 3-4 min experience for me, but super tight. Some of my favorite visuals of the whole jam, the tight isometric art is gorgeous to look at. Nice little song loop too.

Hope Ludwig plays this on stream! No reason not to :).

Hey Evan, Riazey <3

Developer

Much thanks!

Developer (1 edit)

Oh snap :D one of the people who beat both levels first try I bet! Grats! At least we can confidently say the god gamer was within the 10 min time limit hahaha

(+5)

it was an ameowsing experience!

Developer

thanks mr. Rad!

Developer

No.

The cutest thing since sliced bread!

Developer

Thank you <3

Developer

Awe thaaaaanks! But please don't slice this loaf.

Fun Gameplay and really cute artstyle, fitting soudntrack. My only problem is the controls may be a bit to sensitive, coots became very quickly to fast to control, but besides that a really fun game. Great Job

Developer(+1)

hehe yeah coots is designed to be a little chaos butt, although we did our best to balance we couldn't tackle everything in time~ nonetheless, I am glad you still enjoyed coots drift and we will definitely be adding in difficulty choices post jam :D

Submitted(+3)

Wow this is a great submission. Highly polished, looks great and plays nicely. Great job!

Developer

Yaay! I'm happy you like it! Thanks so much for taking the time to play/vote and even leave such a heartwarming comment<3

Love the art and overall presentation!! That is one bouncy cat, and I think that is about all that I may suggest to tweak. I actually liked the toys and often used it to slow myself down. xD

Developer(+1)

Rinc is in on my speedrun strats oh NO!! Yeah she's a bit bouncy haha, difficulty levels hopefully incoming soon tm

Submitted(+1)

Aha!! I knew they weren't just obstacles xD ahaha. Ooh, looking forward to the update!

(+4)

So cute and delightful!! Perfect skiddish chaos to match the thrilling life of a kitty cat!

Now I just want an endless claw mode! endless destruction time, of the kitty kind! >;3

Developer(+1)

Thank ya :-)) ❤️

Developer

Endless mode is getting a cat irl xD

I loove this iso style, the art did iso justice, everything goes really well. The controls are nice and simple. I completed the last level with 5 seconds. Awesome

Developer

Awwe thanks so much for going out of your way to give our lil game a try and supporting it <3

Submitted(+3)

Super cute art and tight sound track :O I'm always a huge fan of 2.5D stuff.I think the slippery controls gave the game some extra charm when you just bounced all over stuff, but as some others have said in combination with the extremely closed off levels, it probably needs to be tuned down a bit.  That aside though, really really cool!

Developer

Yeah like I'm sure you've seen in the comments we tried our best to balance it in the time we had (we had about 5 days to do the level design and test it for adjustments) and will try to include difficulty after jam! Thank-you so muuuch for trying and liking our game <3 Made working so hard on it worth it!

Submitted(+3)

Really well made! The music was awesome, gameplay was really fun, and looked great. Nice work :D

Developer

THANK-YOOOOOOUU!! YOU'RE AWESOME!

Think the mouse movement and trying to control the slides make this quite a unique take on the games about destroying stuff. The pixel art and presentation is real good too. The camera feels maybe a little too jittery when youre sliding with pace around these levels but thats a very minor issue.

Developer(+2)

Thank you sooo heccin' much! I'm glad you love the art <3 Yeah I think the jitter is because it's pixel perfect and scaled up, I noticed it too but luckily it wasn't too game breaking so I let it.... slide. :'D

Submitted(+4)

Really fun and obviously looks amazing! Could've been a tad easier for me though ;D

Developer(+1)

Haha dont worry we'll try to add difficulty to the post-jam version if we can! To make it "easier" for you! Thanks for playing hahaha

Submitted(+5)

Very nice visuals! Gameplay wise, an idea I had was to have a difficulty setting that determined the degree of slipping when Coots is moving (easy difficulty- little slipping, hard difficulty- lots of slipping). Good work.

Developer

Thanks a bunch!

Developer

Actually this is something we have been talking about! Although it was not feasible to get added during the gamejam period we think bounciness, time, and amount of objects may be on the table for difficulty changes!

We definitely tried to balance it the best we could during the time we had so thank you so much for trying and liking our game~ <3

Submitted(+3)

Cool concept and gameplay. I’d love to see the controls be a bit more responsive, I feel like I’m walking on ice all the time! Other than that it’s pretty cool. Congrats for your entry!

Developer(+1)

much thanks! the slippery/bouncy movement was meant to be the core mechanic but I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea

Developer (2 edits)

Yeah we can't expect everyone to love the core mechanic as much as we do haha! There has been talk about multiple difficulties though! Thanks so much for playing and enjoying our game even though the gameplay wasn't one you normally would enjoy! <3

Submitted(+3)

This game was surprisingly addictive. And the pixel art is really polished. Neat game!

Developer(+2)

aaa thanks so heccin much! I am really hoping to get a chance to play your game too actually haha

Submitted(+3)

Love the art style!!

Developer(+1)

Thank-you SO much! My first real time doing isometric was a wild ride but I'm sooo glad I tried it!

Submitted(+3)

Oh gosh this was fun, very unique movement style although it felt a little cluttered in the first level (which by the way after stumbling through and failing once or twice I beat it and was like !!! theres MORE!) overall great work and amazing idea/execution.

Developer(+1)

THERE WAS MORE! Ahaha! I spent an incredibly longer period of time on the second level as compared to the first, which is partially why I was unable to make a third it's funny how it shows, but oh my gosh I'm SO PROUD of you for finishing it!!

Submitted (3 edits) (+3)

I love bouncing around the house as little Coots and destroying everything around me :D

Extremely polished game. Art, sfx/music, animations, controls, and level design are all amazing and I really enjoyed playing this! My only complaint is the last level felt a bit long/repetitive, so if given the time adding another small obstacle/goal could make it more fun.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for trying the game! I totally wish we'd had the time during development to add more- we actually had an idea to add button smashing! Buuut then we realized a button smash objects eats a lot of time and there would have to be a forced amount of them per run because HO BOY imagine getting 5 of them in one run and 0 in another! (There were other issues too) xD

I also really really wanted a roomba that would chase the player around )< haha! Despite not getting everything we wanted to in- im still extremely happy you enjoyed this version and appreciated all the time and tears that went into it <3

Submitted(+1)

omg the roomba would have been an amazing addition!

Developer

I wanted it so bad! Turns out when you create a game from scratch using typescript like our god tier programmer evan, doing custom ai and pathing etc is too much for 10 days- who would have thought xDD

Developer

Thank you Ace!
