Hey, this is really good! I am just really bad at it :D Felt like the unhacking doesn't really move progress back too much, but that's probably luck related, depending on how often you get two in row. But really catchy game :D

Fun minigames, writing the rules in game would have been nice. The leave level mechanic should be more explicit.
Interesting ideas. I like the game mechanics of the hacking and unhacking minigames. It’s quite interesting to manage when to hack and when to unhack. I needed some tries to win.
I had some issues at first because I didn’t know how and when I could leave the minigames. You could add some buttons in a corner to make it clearer to the player that they can leave anytime.
The instructions are a bit wordy and could be condensed to the essential goal of the game, the gameplay is pretty confusing for such a simple concept, it took me a while to understand what you had to do, and that the bar was part of both games and you had to switch between both games to keep the bar under control. The hacking stage was also confusing as the cycle went both up and down in numbers so you never knew if you were going were making progress. Once you figure out the how to play the game, the gameplay loop is decent, better instruction in game would make the game much clearer.
I like that there are two minigames that you need to manage in parallel, it’s a cool idea. I like frantic games like this, and switching between the two games was definitely interesting.
The unhacking minigame felt a little unfair sometimes when I’d wait for a while and see no matches. Not sure what your implementation was, but one thing that MMOs do is skew the randomness in favor of the player based on how unlucky the player was.
For example, you could increase the probability of a matching shape appearing based on the number of previously un-matched pairs that appeared, and reset it once a match appears. This way, the player’s progressively more likely to see a match the longer they’re on an unlucky streak.
It might have also been nice to see a preview of the unhacking game while playing the hack game so you can manage the two a little better.
I like the use of recursion in the hacking game and the music is pretty good too, nice job!
I'm glad that you liked the need to switch between the two minigames! Many people told me the opposite - they were confused because of it and didn't understand that they have to switch.
I agree with that the unhacking minigame can feel unfair. I also minded when there were no matches for a long time and considered changing the randomness system. But I didn't do it, cause I ran out of time.
Thanks for your feedback!
This is a lot of fun! The two minigames are both strong and work really well together, and the pressure to constantly jump back and forth between them to prevent yourself getting hacked ensures you're never performing a task for too long. The difficulty is spot on: it's really challenging on the first run, and I was hacked once, but my second run went much better and I was able to just about scrape a win :
I'd also like to quickly say I'm really impressed that you managed to tie in not one, but three of the optional themes :)
I'm glad to hear that you liked the pressure to jump between the two minigames, because I worried about the opposite - I thought that many people may not understand that they need to jump between them. And some of them truly struggled to get it, as I found out from earlier comments. Thanks for your feedback!
This is a neat concept, but I found it hard to understand. I didn't realize at first that you had to switch between the two games continuously to avoid getting hacked. The games themselves are kind of fun, though the unhacking game got a bit frustrating when it took a long time for a matching pair to show up. The graphics are simple but clean, and the music is nice. Good work!
I got hacked. Took me a few goes to get it down. Pretty cool little clicker.
