I looove the paper/hand-drawn look! Sounds are also on point!

The first play I wasn't sure what happened but the second time it *clicked* with me and I saw the timer too. Instantly wanted to try again and out do myself, only to then learn the contact changes every game! It just kept giving and giving for such a short and small game. You did a really good job.

Developer

Dang, y'all are too nice about the art. Gonna make me tear up :))

Thanks for the kind words friend :D

Hello.

I liked the stylized art.

Please make more levels.

Make cars and obstacles stand out more.

The paper art style is amazing and the SFX are well suited. I really liked this game. It's very different from the others in the jam in a good way

Developer

Preciate the kind words friend :D

Submitted(+1)

The art direction is fantastic! Loved the feel and sounds of paper!

Developer

Means so much to hear that people liked the art and the sounds, genuinely felt like I was just throwing sheet at the wall and seeing what stuck! I just wanted to make everything myself so I'm glad to hear that y'all liked it!

Really cool game ! love the visual style.

A bit short & not much replayability but very fun and satisfying.

Kuddos on the drawing and recording the sounds yourself, It turned out really neat !

Good job !

Developer(+1)

Ya the replayability - is that how that's spelled? - could definitely be worked on.

Hoping some new levels and possibly a new game mode someone recommend will help with that!

Be sure to look out for it in the next few days :D

Interesting concept! btw, my best time 4.33s

Developer

Thanks friend! Congrats on the best time but unfortunately someone has you beat :(

Pretty short game, but was kind of fun.  Definitely has a cool art style, game mechanics, and I could see more levels being made out of this. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Preciate it :))

It means a lot to hear people liked the art! I'm planning on adding more levels tomorrow!

Submitted(+1)

It's a short game, but it's very cool, I wish there were more levels available.

The art and SFX are great as well.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback friend!

Plan on making some more levels tomorrow!

very unique game, I really liked it. definitely different and was a lot of fun, however i would of liked to see a stronger link to the theme and maybe more content but i understand how difficult these things can be and I think it is still a great effort.

Developer

Glad to hear you liked the game :D

Ya it's a bit of a stretch, the link for me was I interpreted connection as a person you are connected to, such as networking among business and agencies. As such this led me to the idea of an informant!

Sorry about the lack of content, I was wanting to add more but instead spent the last day faffing about trying to make music and failing miserably!

Hoping to update the game by tomorrow night with fixes and content!

Submitted

Very unique style! Satisfying sounds as well.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words friend :)

What a cool aesthetic! Definitely one of the more unique visual styles I've seen. The paper noises really tied it together as well. I did have some difficulty tracking the thin reticle, but not enough to really hinder my enjoyment.
Well done on your execution of this idea!

Developer

Preciate the kind words!

I have received word from multiple people about the crosshair and I'm so sorry D:

Gonna have to fix that ASAP!

The use of drawings is such a wonderful idea ! It sets the tone and and your sound effects are great too, very original !

Of course it would have been even better to have more levels and get a chance to experience more of your drawings... But being able to come up with this amount on your own, within the time frame, and aiming towards making everything from scratch is an achievement that you can be proud of.

Congratulations !

Developer

So nice! Y'all are gonna make me tear up!

Thanks for the kind words friend, means so much to hear you liked the game.

I hope to bring more levels and more variety to the game in the future, suffice it to say with the feedback I've gotten, I'm not leaving this game as it is.

:D

Absolutely amazing art style! I love how you brought the paper drawings to life! Such a simple and clean game!

Also, the shooting sound effect was super satisfying! I even killed the contact many times to hear that gratifying paper crunch :3

The only thing I was is that there were more levels! And maybe a game mode where there is a countdown to the time you have to kill the others instead of a count up! That would be super thrilling and tight!

Overall had a good time with the game! I love the beautiful paper art!

(P.S My fastest killing time was 6.9 seconds (nice))

Developer

Thanks friend!

As I've said before with others, you have no idea how much it means to hear that people like the art :D

The sounds were my first time really messing with audacity and other such software and recording my own effects, glad to hear they came across as satisfying!

Sorry about the lack of levels! D:

I kinda spent so much time stressing about the music I wasn't able to make more. Planning on making some more now though!

As for the idea of the alternate game mode, I actually really like it! The original point of the game was to be a analysis and reaction game, but the story of it would make more sense for a countdown mode. Might have to add it!

Congrats the time! (nice) Sad to say someone already has you beat though D:

Thanks friend :D

Really appreciate all the kind words for the art, and glad the game was fun too :)

Funnily enough as I'm reading this I have your game open ready to play and write a review!

Hey there! Im glad u want to try my teams game out and I hope you enjoy the game :D

Great art direction. I really liked the pencil style.

Had fun!

Developer

Thanks!

I tried to really make it look sketched and doodled and rough so some of it looks janky at times, but I'm glad you liked it :)

Submitted

Honestly if you worked a little more on the mechanics and fully polished the art style this game has so much potential. I really like the pencil art look.

Cute art for a shooter game!

Developer

Thanks friend :)

a nice game. i dont get where this fits the theme, but i like the handdrawn look and the FX. Maybe some Music would be nice.

I Played this way to long :D PB 2.30

Developer

Glad you liked the game :)

I understand it being quite unclear as it is somewhat of a stretch haha.

The theme was connection and so I attributed that to having a contact or connection inside of an organization, such as an informant or a spy. Hence the game being to save the contact from the criminal organization.

I wish I could've added music but I will say I spent the entire day of Saturday attempting to learn how to make music and failing miserably. Quite demoralizing but on the bright side gives me another thing to work on before my next project!

Really appreciate the feedback and nice time!

@RTDMFN I feel you don't have to be pressured in regards to making your own music! Just look for good royalty-free tracks you can use (and credit them where required). I personally go for any CC0 tracks I can find around the internet, especially for the jams that allow external assets!

Developer(+1)

Probably better to have royalty-free tracks than nothing, but I'm a clown. Luckily however, managed to get a friend today to help me write some music so I'll be sure to have that in there soon!
