Team or Solo
Worked solo for this one. Might have gone to big of scope for it.

Did you follow the theme?
yes made a item able to change the world temperature as well as weapons based on heat and cold to open areas up.
Did you (you or your team) do the graphisms yourself?
I made all the art for this game my self nothing to special on it spent more time on code then art started to make it look better near the end but could use more work.
Did you (you or your team) do the musics and sounds yourself?
nope as stated above in the give credit part.

Fun game! I really like how the sprite for the ice/fire wall changes as you damage it. Also music is cool! I'd recommend adding some sort of animation to show enemies and bosses are being damaged. Overall good job!
Thanks for playing the game and the feedback, Glad you enjoyed it.
I added in flashes and stuff for the enemies when hit in my new version, show it of in the dev log I posted the other day just waiting for voting to end so i can upload the new version. Not sure why I didn't put that into the game before the dead line since it was not that hard to add in really took me 20 or so minutes sigh.
The webgl version is missing all of the entities except the player it seems.
Ahh, I had assumed after several screens worth of empty levels I was either looking at an incomplete submission or a buggy one. It would be a good idea to inform players that they have a bit of a hike before they see anything. I really thought I was just dealing with a WebGL bug. Once I gave it a 2nd try and stuck it out for the empty trek, it turned out to be a fun little platformer; but the empty hike still seems out of place for me.
well at least it wasn't a bug since no one else seemed to have any issues of that sort. but your feedback is much appreciated I really should at least have something to kill before the fire boss (inferno mask) since you can lose life if you fall into the lava and that can make it hard to fight against the first boss. He is a lot easier to kill in my current version of the game but still.
The game was an extremely awesome platformer! I loved the boss battles(my fav is the first face guy). Although I dislike back tracking in an game, I love how you must apply the new mechanics you got from the bosses to unlock new areas X]
This is a neat metroidvania style game. I think there was probably at lot more to explore that I didn't quite get to--I ran out of ammo on the ice boss. I *did* figure out that I needed to farm powerups from the little tubes like you'd do in metroid but I only came into the boss fight with 7 fire shots and probably needed to bring 10. Maybe a higher ammo threshold?
Really well done, the music and gameplay gave me a real metroid feeling. The jumping requires a bit too much precision at times which can make for a frustrating experience trying to climb up platforms. Also the enemies don't give too much indication tehy are bring hit or taking damage which might help. Great work on the art, there is a lot oof impressive stuff going on here and all well animated. You also implemented a good menu, which is something I've yet to master.
Thanks for playing :). As for the jumping I have added a hang time to it in my new version that I can't upload till voting is done. I wish I thought about it and had time to add it in before the jam deadline. I am adding in code that makes the enemy flash when they are hit now thanks :)
Thanks for the feed back with it I can make the game a much more fun experience as I work on it more
This was great, had a couple really great moments but my favorite was figuring out I could climb on frozen enemies to make platforms. Felt very complete and was very happy with the amount of content you were able to put into it. Awesome work! Would play again for sure and hope you get plenty of people coming through who do
10/5. I absolutely LOVED this game. I am a huge Metroid fan and this game gave me such a great taste of that! I loved the exploring, the back-tracking, the upgrades, the secrets. I can't even explain how much I loved this game! haha. The final boss was tough, and took me 3 tries, but I had a blast finishing this game! I can tell you really put a lot of time and effort into this! Congrats, it is definitely something to be proud of!
