this seems like a great concept, but sadly it wasn't finished on time, I hope that you finish this game, as it has a great concept :D

Developer

Still working on it : )

I'll let you know when it's up to play.

Did you make the Art too? Also i want to say, i have played a couple games this jam that need a supor long instruction manual, i would advise trying to implement the tutorial in the game as an incremental thing, introduce mechanics one by one. I rotate the shield but i dont see if its charging or not, is it the blue light to the right?

Developer

I did not make the art.  I'm using pre-made assets I got for free from the unity asset store.  I was in a rush just to publish what I had so I didn't get a chance to credit the people of who's assets I'm using.  I'll be sure to do so on the playable version.

The batteries will blink when charging.  Right now I have them blinking one at a time but it's not as obvious as it needs to be.  I'll have them turn on in a sequence which should help convey the message of "charging".

Thanks for the feedback!  I'll be sure to let you know when I have a playable version available!

No problem dude, good luck with it!

All of the art is great and I look forward to you finishing it!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!  The art is not mine : (
I'm using free models from Unity's asset store and I ran out of time to credit them.  I'm still working on the game and I'll have a complete list of who's assets I'm using.

Well over scoping is definitely a problem with game jams and it looks like you tried to tackle too many mechanics. The artwork is pretty on point, but you definitely should have made the game over state first, definitely finish it though, and good on you for posting it anyway

Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, I definitely over scoped.  Especially for my current skill set.  I believe have the skills to finish the game, but definitely not in the time frame that I had.  I'm starting a another weekend game jam tomorrow and I'm going to take this lesson and see how I do : )

I really like the idea, hope you can finish it!

As you said on the game's page, it's unfinished so it's kind of hard to judge it properly but definitely a cool concept and the game looks great. Congrats :)
