This is great, I can feel a lot of work went into this. Sadly all my customers were in a rush so i could not serve a single order. it would be nice in further update if the first order is an easy item; I also missed that I could go one more screen to the left of the ovens when I was looking for where the potatoes were 😂

yeah, sorry for the rushing customers lol, the mistakes on me still forget to change the values 😭but thanks for playing! please wait for next update!
i guess pacing on the were really needed, but sadly time is not really in favor on our programmer lol. So, this is what they can end up with "a super hard menu with 5+ different thing" kinda thingy. i also agree lol... and combined with my mistakes boom a disaster 🥀
Do you have anything to suggest more beside the one you already mentioned? Would be much appreciated!
i love the art and the idea! it's such a cute concept and i enjoyed all the characters. i feel like this is a really strong concept, and i can't wait to see where you take it, if you do!
understanding that i had to drag the potato on the very edge of the screen instead of over the button took me a while to figure out. i also felt like there was little to no time to actually get the order complete for a given customer, which meant it was very hard to fulfill orders. also agree that there's a lot of downtime between customers. i wish the mechanics were a little more engaging, since there's little to no gameplay variety or arc to the game
Thanks for playing our game Mckay!
Honestly this came from my mistake, i forgot to change the values😿and end up with super hard game lol 🥀🥀i guess after this gamejam I'll upload the balanced version🙌
Can you please tell me more on how do i make the mechanics more engaging? Would be much appreciated 😊😊
The art is good, the music is nice and relaxing (and certainly gives me great post-jam cool down vibes!), but the gameplay is sadly lacking. There's a few things that could be improved upon:
First, the pace is too slow. I don't want to need to wait a minute for a customer to show up.
Next, customers don't wait long enough. You can only realistically get 5 or 6 ingredients onto the potato before they leave.
I see this as being very similar to the Papa's games, so my improvements are based on them and what made them enjoyable.
The lineup of customers giving you multiple orders to handle all at once.
The chain being more complex due to each step of the process requiring something slightly different.
Being able to prepare multiple things at the same time.
There's never a reason to have more than two potatoes ready at any given time - customers simply take too long to show up for that to be a concern.
Beyond that, setting up the potato is too simplistic - until you get to the final step where it's a panic to read what the customer wants, figure out which thing it actually is, and then apply it. You can't even do things like prepare some things that appear to be more common (even though I think the requests are completely random?) because you can only have 1 potato on a kitchen tray at a time (or at least, I couldn't get there to be two potatoes in the kitchen at the same time..)
In short, it could use just a bit more polish and balance. Well, from the outside at least. Knowing how these things work on the inside, setting up what I'm describing here would probably have taken another 3 days, or for it to be in the plans from the start. It succeeds in being a cozy (albeit really slow) game, so if that's what you were going for, good job! You nailed it! If not, well, back to that polish bottle.
In any event, I hope yall had fun and learnt something! Thanks for jamming!
Thank you so much for playing our game and for your thoughtful feedback—it really pointed out the things we missed!
We're really happy to hear that you enjoyed the visuals and music.
As for the gameplay, we fully agree there's still a lot of room for polish and improvement. Due to the limited time during the jam, we couldn't refine it as much as we would’ve liked, but we absolutely recognize the areas that need work.
It's incredibly helpful to hear your perspective as a player—it gives us insight into what didn’t quite land, and that’s so valuable for us moving forward.
We truly appreciate your feedback, and thanks again for playing and supporting our game!
I love the game idea ❤ really amazing job! For me it was a little hard to complete orders since don't get it that need a cooked potato for the beginning 😂
Hope you continue working on this game 😄
Really really cute! I love the art. The layout for the "kitchen" is really nice as well. The game pacing was really off. The order time was too short, even when I had a potato ready to go, and then you have to wait a really long time for the next customer. Would love to see this as a fully realized game!
Thank you so much! 🥔💛 We're really glad you loved the art! You're totally right about the pacing—we’ve heard similar feedback and it’s definitely something we want to adjust if we continue development. It means a lot that you’d like to see this as a full game! Thanks again for playing and for the thoughtful feedback 😊
What chill cozy vibes! The pace of the customers was good. The graphics are really nice. Well done, I hope you keep working on this!
Hi there! really great concept and its impressive you made this in 3 days (art and programming!) id love to see this updated as i love cozy cooking sims! one suggestion would def be to have the order stay ont the screen for longer, or make it accesible through a menu.
Ilove if you could check our game out!
