I am not built for the factories 😂 but this was a good concept to see and I liked the idea; maybe a simpler factory level at the start with only a few pieces and a progression system would help in future updates if taking the game further.

I tried to make the difficulty curve smooth, but well, time pressures, lack of time to remake levels, etc made it tough to adjust levels for difficulty. Some of the later levels (I think level like, 12?) got an adjustment cause it was like, impossible, but that was the only major change other than quota and time tweaks.

A difficulty system was suggested by one of my teammates, but we didn't have the time to implement it.

Thanks for the feedback though! Glad you enjoyed despite it not being your cup of tea!

Really great fun, quite addictive. Wish there was better indication where you can place the items. I like the take on the theme. Great entry.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed!

there's so much in this game! i'm really impressed with everything you were able to implement. i thin it was a little too complex for something like this, and i felt confused for a while. i think that the tutorial and how to play sections could've been a little more intuitive. i think the art is really good and fits a factory theme! i wish the color palette of the machines had a little more variety, to make it clearer which machine is which once it's placed. overall, im really impressed so much was able to be introduced in such a short time, but i think some things could've been communicated a bit more clearly!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! We worked real hard to get as much as we could in!

I do agree that the tutorial is a bit lacking - it's sadly one of the things that we didn't have enough time to make good (i.e. interactive)

This game is truly fantastic—while it may be a bit complex, it’s absolutely captivating. I love the sound design and every single element of it!

Awesome! Thanks for the kind words! We had a blast making the game!

Fun idea! I was able to able to beat the first level.

Developer

Congrats on the level 1 win! Thanks for playing! Hope you had fun, and can maybe get to the later levels!

I don't think we actually ever said it anywhere in game or outside, but there's a total of 15 levels to beat!

I did have fun! I couldn't beat the second level as I couldn't figure out how to get the masher to work. I put it in the path left to right. It accepted some potatoes and made a noise, but nothing came out of it. I presume I am doing something wrong but I couldn't figure it out. And the time to get the masher in place for the second level was so hard i had to basically prepare for it on the first level by prebuilding the path from the second spawn location. It's impressive you built all this logic and 15 levels! Well done!!

Machines have an arrow that point in the direction that they output.

Machines can only output onto a belt (can't output from machine to machine).

You can build while items are coming in! While items are flowing, your range is restricted to near the couch (within 3 tiles).

And yes, the level 2 time is very short! That was done intentionally with the thought that it would force players to learn that they could do stuff while the factory was running!

I should probably get a screenshot of what a working level 2 solution looks like and add it to the game's screenshots to give players a hint.. That seems like a good idea.

Thanks for the praise! It was a pretty hectic week! We have 2 programmers on this team and both of us worked for around 15+ hours a day to get all the functionality in! Pretty proud of it!

Thanks for the tips. I will give it another try!

Developer

My pleasure! And I did upload those screenshots for further examples! Good luck, have fun!

(I'm tired tonight, but I'll be sure to check out your game tomorrow!)

Developer

Glad you were able to make progress!

This is too much thinking for me :<, but still well done!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, puzzle/strategy games are not for everyone. Thank you for playing!

Very difficult for me to tell if the machines need to be oriented, or how to orient them. I put belt, machine, belt, machine, but nothing was able to produce an output.
I liked the narrative at the start, but I suppose the finer parts of the instructions were lost on me by the time the meat (or rather Potato) of the game was happening. .

Developer(+2)

First off, thanks for playing!

Second, we're still updating some minor stuff - the last build is building on my computer as I type this out. Part of that update makes the output arrows on machines much more visible so it should be better!

Awesome! (I was trying to do some testing for people prior to the deadline, but I was cutting it pretty close)

Developer

Awesome! And the feedback is certainly appreciated!

Only problem with your feedback was we were already aware of it and had made moves to fix it internally, and then didn't publish the fix for a while due to playtesting and balancing and the constant stream of micro tweaks.

Hope you give it another try in it's final form!

Thanks again for the feedback, and trying to go around giving people some advice before the deadline! Feedback is always appreciated in every form! <3
