Cool idea, i played it and got 11 potatos, till i got the restart button appearing, but then i discovered that even with the restart button if i manage to at least save 1 potato the game would continue so i manage to do a bit more than 11  using that trick :p well done !

Thanks for playing. Haha yeah I found that bug out after submission as well, we can keep it under wraps, like a warm baked potato 😎

it's cute! trying to get them in is pretty fun. i feel like while the mechanic is intuitive, sometimes the potato would just go through my wall and i didn't understand why. i also felt like it was a little confusing why it would sometimes bounce the way i'd expect, and other times would be kinda odd.

Thanks for playing, glad to hear it is easy to pick up. There is plenty of polish and fixes it needs; working on it to the last minute 😅

I’m loving it—I managed to collect 8 potatoes! Can’t wait to see what more gets added!

Thanks for playing; achievements like the ones that showed up in your game was one of the ideas I had, along with plenty of fixes from what people have reported and lots of polish.

Really solid mechanic idea! I found this fun! I desperately wanted a counter to track how many I got.

Thanks, I did have some small UI near the top with lives and score but I was not aware the window/resolution changed when doing a web GL build vs what I was seeing in game view in editor, I was unable to fix as I was submitting it 2 mins before the deadline. Although I might have improved it slightly but I was reading the browser might cache the previous resolution? But it needs some fixes and polish anyways

Pretty mechanically interesting!

It could use some sort of visual score to tell the player how many points they've gotten, but other than that, I see it as a complete mini game!

Jams are a safe space to fail and a great place to learn new things! No shame in having things not work!

You'll do even better next time using this experience!

would be nice if have assets that goes with the theme, this is kinda fun actually.

Thanks for playing! I was thinking of having more potato types with different behaviors and other game elements to fit the potato theme but did not manage to get to it. Glad the base game is fun/easy to pick up on.

Pretty decent concept. The controls are fairly straightforward. I would however have liked to see more of this game revolving around the theme in some way, as well as greater amounts of polish.

Developer

Thanks! Yes there is plenty of polish and improvements to make it more of a game than a prototype. (More things in the scene to fit the theme and look less default, different potato types with different attributes, etc)
