We're hosting a game jam to stir some ✨magic✨ back into the Indie Game Space 🫶🏽 

It's been rough for so many Indie Game Devs lately and making games is a special way a lot of us know how to kick back and process life. So come along, make some games and lets support each other!

📆 When:

June 13 | 6:30–8:30 PM EST – Game jam kickoff

June 18 | 9:00 PM EST – Game submission deadline

June 20 | 6:30–8:30 PM EST – Pitch contest & Winners announcements

📍Where:

Doors to the IGA Gather space will be opened for all jam participants during the jam. Check this page for a link and password to use our Gather space.

📓Rules for games:

• Be kind and have fun cause games are food for the soul ^_^
• All games must be new & original, not used or made in previous game jams.
• Unity 6 is the preferred engine but you’re welcome to use an older version of Unity as well.
• NSFW and hateful content and/or themes will not be tolerated and might be grounds for removal from the jam entirely.
• You’re welcome to use any art assets you have but everything submitted in the jam must be original. Any copyright infringement will result in removal from the jam.
• Any hateful communication or comments within the IGA server or during the live events will be grounds for removal from the event and the server. Our mods work really hard to promote a safe environment and we’d like to spread the joy of safety!

📜Team guidelines:

• We encourage teams up to 7 members. The prizes for the winning team are capped at 7. If your team feels comfortable increasing the team size, prize distribution will be up to you. We will not be able to provide any prizes or mediate for you or your team.
• If you do not have a team, you can post in the IGA channel here to find team members: https://discord.gg/MrV6tacAab . The channel is called "help each other" under the "Atrium of Development" Category.
  
• Each team can only submit one game, uploaded through a single itch.io account. It's up to you if you want to create an account for the team or upload through a team member's personal account.
• All team members who contributed to the game must be listed at submission with their accurate names. We need this to ensure the prizes go to the correct people.
• All submissions must adhere to basic values of human decency. Any political content, violence, personal attacks or religious attacks will disqualify you immediately.
• Everyone participating must be 18+ 
• You’re welcome to join the jam with a pre-made team.
• IGA is not able to facilitate you with finding team members beyond providing the channel for your use.

🕹Game Submission:

• All submissions must be made to this itch page only: https://itch.io/jam/iga-x-unity-game-jam
• Provide your team info, game name, game details and game files to register
• Only one team member is required to upload the game with due credits to all contributors as game authors. 
• You’re welcome to update your game files as much as you want until the deadline. The last file submitted will be judged. 
• There will be no extensions due to any unforeseen circumstances on the team's behalf.

💻 Assets and AI:

• The decision to use open source assets is up to you.
• Any copyrighted asset, material or property will disqualify you
• If your game includes any AI generated assets, it must be stated and made clear in the game description and where the Ai-generated content is used.
• While we are not promoting use of AI-generated assets, we also understand that it is not logistically possible for us to police them so we ask for transparency at the very least.
• IGA  will not be taking any legal responsibility or legal support for any issues, miscommunication or fights emerging due to Ai-Generated assets or their use thereof.
