Yay! I'm glad you liked it :D
We will keep in mind your issue with the water boiling step.

Thank you for your review! We have updated one of the cameras to show in perspective mode instead of orthographic to better encapsulate the 2.5D we were going for. I would love to know if you think this blends the two better!

Thank you so much for your kind review!  We just added another visit for each cat if you want to hang out with them more :D
Definitely a good point about clarity and accessibility. We will consider the best way to make changes for clarity!

OH MY GOODNESS. This drawing is SO CUTE!!! You just made my whole week! Thank you for posting this!!!

Two nitpicks, then the good stuff.
1) You need to display that F is the progression key somewhere more prominently. As far as I know, it's not a standard key for dialogue progression, and I would have given up after clicking, pressing space, and pressing enter if I hadn't gone back to read the itch page a second time.
2) The order submit button is not visible on screen currently. I was only able to find it and keep playing because I got to see Wesley demo it.

Other than that... Wow! This game is incredible. The knife physics were satisfying, and I loved that it would come back after I chucked it off screen :D The artistic storytelling is fantastic; I cannot get over the horns on the bread. I love that the chef pops back in and comments mid gameplay. The gameplay makes sense and I could see how the game might progress with more items and difficulty; I cannot wait to see more!

Also your team story was so cute and fun!

Oh yay! That makes me so happy! Thank you for your kind response.

The movement controls feel amazing actually. I did two whole laps, and nothing was moving but me, but I wanted to keep playing because the drifting was so satisfying!

It's a cool idea but playing it feels so weird. Also, it's very difficult to tell what I should be doing with no instructions, and the ui on the first page is running off the screen so I can't read all of it.

In other news, this one of my favorite team stories! I hope you guys had fun and keep making games!

I can't play the game or see the team story video :(

This was an amazing game to play!!! Totally cohesive concept; the intro set the tone well, the characters all look amazing and I am so curious about their stories, the gameplay was intuitive and smooth (it only took me one time flailing around and dying to figure out the controls). I cannot believe that I get a different array of ice creams each time I play, I just love this game.

I might need a difficulty setting though because I cannot for the life of me beat the picture module XD

Like the concept! I don't already know betting terminology, and it seems like most of the mechanics are unexplained, so it didn't feel like I had any strategy. Also, I accidentally placed a bet for $0 because I had a hard time telling what all the information meant.
I really like the look of it being on a tv screen, and the voice acting was fun too.

The team video is on the long side, but it's super cute and creative! <3

I'm having a hard time telling what Light can do. Soul can attack, but right now I can't tell why I would switch. All the art is cool, and I do really like the character designs. I did run into a fatal error, and I can run myself off the side of the map XD. Overall, interesting concept, wish I understood it better <3

Oh yay! That's great to hear :D

Thank you! Do you have a favorite

Did you mean for the webGL zip to be a download and not imbedded? How do I play it?

Played this with my husband! We thought this was quite fun and enjoyed getting to chaotically throw stuff at each other. The movement is mostly okay, though it is a little difficult to aim your throws. I could easily see this being super controller friendly, however. Overall, a sweet and simple concept that was well executed!

It looks cool! The growing animation is spot on

Okay, so I played it again, and apparently I encountered a bug last time.  When the fly was supposed to lay an egg, it flew off the screen, and nothing else happened. This time, I got to enjoy the full experience, and got to try all the evolution boosts! This is a great game!!!

This is an amusing little game. There isn't much gameplay because the only interaction is pressing E and waiting, but I like the story concept a lot.

100%!!! I can totally see what you guys were trying to accomplish, and think a balanced version would be so fun! I would play the balanced version if you release it.

Very cute! Clean visual design, easy to understand the point of the game and ui elements. I was a bit confused when I didn't get any kind of game over screen. Overall, well executed!

This was a really cool environment! A really good example of how to show not tell in terms of how the world works and what is expected of the player. Don't think I didn't notice the .exe file name....

Cool game. I like the throwing aim assist visual. Only downside is the enemies don't always die when I hit them with potato or shovel.

First, I love the voice acting, and the characters! Even in such little time, I really fell in love with the character Bumbus. The art it super cute, the world design is great with a little bit of platforming, and I can imagine having lots of fun unlocking and exploring the world further. With that said, I don't think I got the intended gameplay experience. I was able to plant potatoes until I had negative potatoes without realizing, and then from day 2 onward, I could not visibly pickup any items, and my inventory numbers changed randomly. I still thoroughly enjoyed all the dialog and world exploration. Especially the riddle!

You clearly put a lot of thought into the mechanics of the cards and how they work together, and when they can be played. I wish that was explained somewhere in detail. The art is super cohesive, and I love the thought behind the game, and would love to see it expanded! Side note: I too could not hear sound :(

First off, LOVE the music! XD The game loop is pretty good. Growing animations are great! Would love to be able to carry more than one item at once or buy upgrades to carry more blood or such. Overall, great game!

Drat! It looks like it would be a really fun game with better controls. Again, good job on the dynamic level design!

This was so funny! The screaming potato sound is amazing. I like the bouncy physics, and also the distance markers. Slightly frustrating that the wind usually blows me back instead of forwards.

I image it was already on your todo list, but a round potato instead of a cube would probably be helpful XD     You have a solid start to finish game with a win and lose condition, so you're doing great in my book!

Really solid mechanic idea! I found this fun! I desperately wanted a counter to track how many I got.

I like the title and concept. The lack of camera controls makes me feel like I am getting lucky, not being stealthy. I think having camera controls would make a dramatic improvement to the gameplay.

Cool physics. No potatoes : (

I got really excited when I realized you could make money and optimize the experience. Would definitely play more if the game progression went a bit faster.

Cool that the course changes. The controls are almost unplayable. If you try to move left or right at all, you glitch off of the track.

Glad you were able to make progress!

I'm glad you have future ambitions for this project! I'd love to see a potato skill tree XD     Keep up the good work!

Really really cute! I love the art. The layout for the "kitchen" is really nice as well. The game pacing was really off. The order time was too short, even when I had a potato ready to go, and then you have to wait a really long time for the next customer. Would love to see this as a fully realized game!

Funny story! The war took multiple tries to beat, but I got it. I like the sense of humor. Some of the grammar is not phrased correctly, but I get the meaning.
