uhh, between the very much 3D motion sickness inducing controls (camera moved *way* too fast, and prolly the FOV also didn't agree with me), and the expanding potato earthquake field, I uhh, don't quite know what to make of it.
(The 3D motion sickness is a problem, the expanding potatoes is, I assume, a feature and intended. The earthquakes.. honestly kinda funny, but I can't help but feel like it's not intended..).
Anyway, there isn't much of a gameplay loop (I'm guessing time constraints hit?), but it seems like it can be a basis that can be taken in a few different directions once things are stabilized!
Hope y'all had a good jam!
I liked stuttering while walking through my dense field of potatoes. I guess this was a good way to find out if they have a potato pc 😎
Very interesting! It was cool that the plants seemed to hit a critical mass and started a population explosion! It was also cool when the console log popped up! That could be a cool story element! And a pretty cool looking world. Well done!
Thank you, so positive.
OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH MY PCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC!
i dont understand it, but i guess i confirmed 1 thing, potatoes can crash pc's.
lol, I'm sorry. I should have capped max potatoes before posting the build probably.
I guess you should 😭🥀
but still i have a small laugh when the crash happened💀
Very cool UI buttons. I don't think I understand the game objective. I plant one potato and it multiplies until the audio bugs and produces a dev log.
thanks for trying it. I was planning to add a game loop of harvesting and processing potatoes, but I spent all of my time making the planting, growth, and multiplying mechanics. So I just decided to post what I had finished. It's more of a mechanic than a game right now.
It looks cool! The growing animation is spot on
