The only thing I can say is that maybe the difficulty curve needs some work as the game is currently too easy. Maybe it’s that the bullets are too slow and easy to avoid.

The music, sounds and visuals all go together nicely.
The gameplay also felt very smooth.
I found a nice strategy to get a lot of points.

I played one of the initial no-juice versions, great to see how far you've taken the juice, the pace also is pretty good now compared to before. Simple clean effective game design (dom would be very proud 😂) The polish + post process are well done too. At a first glance, the gameplay looks simple but there is more strategy to it, at one point i was 'collecting' bullets intentionally which also does a domino effect of kiting/grouping the enemy which then leads to big multiplier + score which also does a great risk/reward since more enemies are there now more bullets are there which gets risky but it gives more reward. GREAT Great gameplay design that is! ⭐Had lots of fun with this one man, well done! 👏

I can confirm that your score IS on the leaderboard (I opened the game and saw your name at the top). There is this data problem with WebGL and caching that is not something I can fix and messes up a lot of leaderboards. Try to open the game in an incognito tab or empty the recent data from itch.zone
Gorgeous. Great gameplay. Well done for a jam entry (or a casual game in general). Playing on a touchpad was a bit obnoxious, I'm going to have to try it again when I get back to my mouse.
Like the concept of the game, absorb and bounce back! A little work on the game feel and it'll be a great arcade game. Good luck :)
Ok so i guess the most essential first, I would like the absorption shield to have a different look when its absorbed a bullet. Sometimes i would try firing thinking that there is a bullet absorbed in the shield when there's not and get hit. Other than that probably simple recoil animation on firing, better sound effects, more powerful looking bullets. smoother movement etc.
Its a nice and challenging game. I love the visuals. Maybe I am wrong but it seemed like the player character moves a bit quicker diagonally (the issue we generally get when we miss the sqrt(2) factor?!)
I enjoyed fun kiting the enemies around until I could build up a big swarm of them and drop a giant combo when I blast them all together. The squares chasing after you was a good idea to keep the player active and force them into potentially dangerous situations with the bullets flying around.
I liked the humor you had for “plot armor” on the game description page.
