Challenging platformer! I included it in my Godot Community Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Developer

Awesome, thank you for playing!

Congrats on releasing your first Godot project, it's very well done! The concept works great, and the visuals and controls are very good. The level design is good too, though it's true that difficulty increases fast and some levels can become quite frustrating (I did rage quit eventually :P But I'm playing through many jam entries so less patient for hard games than I'm usually ;)).

The two music tracks are fine taken individually, but I feel they don't blend so well and see you switch weather all the time, it's a bit annoying eventually. Having two well synchronised variations on the same motif might be better :)

Hello Akien! Thank you so much for your feedback, we will take this onto consideration when making the level design of upcoming games!

About the soundtrack, I really didn't had the time I needed to make something more "enjoyable" because this was my first time programming in Godot, and also I did the soundtrack of other game called "MunchIt", but anyway, in another jam, I will for sure take more time to make the soundtrack better!!!

Great job! *Love* the title screen!

This is very impressive for your first Godot game. Some of the levels were *very* frustrating :P

Developer

Thank you very much! as the visual artist, very happy to read about the title screen ^^
We did increase the level dificulty a lot when we where creating it maybe because we didn't have time to make easier levels between those,  we're definetly going to improve this for our future projects.
Thank you for your comment!

Good design and the graphics were on the spot for the game. It was hard but the level of relief when ending a screen made it very rewarding. Nicely done!

Thank you!

Brilliant concept, and the controls aren't far off either. Level design ranges from pretty good to utterly infuriating, and the music starts to grate after a while.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback John! It was my first game on godot, so I had pretty little time to make the song themes, but I will for sure take this into consideration to my next game and make a more decent soundtrack! About the level design we are learrning through the process as well, and I hope the next game you'll play from us, will be better on those aspects!

Nice idea but you need to be impossibly precise to beat it.

Developer

Well, it is indeed very difficult, for the next platformer I will make, I'll spend more time on movements code, so even that it's difficult, at least, the player will be more in control

I was really talking about how precise you have to be in the timing of switching between the two worlds. The movement was fine for the most part. Maybe it could have been a bit slower but it controlled nice.

Woah this is too great for a first godot project.

The graphics were great and the music changing a great detail, The fire theme is awesome, but It clashed a bit much against the ice them,

the world swapping idea is a bit burned, Ive seen it a lot, and doesn't go 100% with the theme, but with your great spritework its compensated.

I think you could have polished the controls a bit, i felt it a bit slidey but still really good and there's a bug when you get ice-locked you keep accelerating.

Thank you so much for your feedback! We learned a lot from making this game and it was a challenge for us using a new engine, but the community is great and many people helped us!

I don't know if we're gonna make changes to this game, but we're gonna take all the feedback into account to make a better game next time :D

So you have a team? How many of you and what were you using before? Unity?

Developer(+2)

So, it was me and my gf, I made the code and music, and she made the level design and art, we used construct 2 for the two games we made together, and now we got into Godot 3 to learn and make more "professional" games.

Funny you switched to Godot. I'm on that journey as well! :)

Good luck and keep'em coming!
