Neat, complex game. I included it in my Godot Community Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Sadly I couldn'tstart a fire and I tried many times, more than 10 logs, spamming key, nothing :d But from what I experienced it's great, polished game :)
I died! :P I had to read the comments here to figure out how to make a fire.
Fun survival mechanic. I felt like I was mashing my spacebar like crazy chopping trees. It would be nice to have an easier way to switch equipped items (number keys, for example).
Nice work! I've played it on Linux 64-bit and it works fine, including sounds. It took me a while to understand how to start new fires (namely that I'd need 10 logs to start one), I actually found that info in the game screenshot on itch.io.
I found some nice easter eggs, though I was puzzled that the game stopped when I tried talking to that nice holy gorilla...
Thanks! Glad everything worked for you and you liked it~ Yeah if I had more time I probably would have found a way to toggle the buttons so they still show you info but not let you equip the item, when you only have 50~ hours you gotta make do though.
Also grats on the first person outside of our testing group of friends to report a Secret% run haha ;D
I liked this game, it is very tense and even a little bit ominous... definitely has a lot of atmosphere going on
Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it~!
I went ahead and just took down the Win64 version because although my musician says it indeed has sound working, it was the least tested over the course of the jam (besides MacOS). Does anybody who is more experience with Godot maybe know why only one version of the game would have problems like not playing any sound? Like it doesn't sound like these guys even got any error messages or anything.
There is no music or sound for me on the Win64 version and after multiple failed attempts I really have no clue how to craft a fire or anything beyond just gather wood and some flint for 2 minutes then die when the original fire extinguishes.
Don't know if there is any sound on the game, but I couldn't hear any, this is the game I played the most from the jam until now, it gets a little bit repetitive after a time, but it's fun, solid work!
Thanks for the feedback! Out of curiosity, do you happen to know what version you were playing? We were able to directly test the Win32, Linux 32, and Linux 64 versions and it sounds like a big bug especially since sound was such a big part of the experience as we made it.
So, I downloaded it directly from itch app, so I got a look right now, and it is the win64 version!
