Hey, this is one of my fav games of the jam.  Really loved, I mean really loved the chats with death on the way and the ending was sublime!  Nice tactics, it took me a while to do the last level.  I really enjoyed this.  I would happily play 30 more levels :)

Cool game. Great start.

I was really wishing for quality of life additions, like keybinds or right-click for move, attack, etc. In full-screen the move, attack, and push buttons were really small for me.

Damn my computer sucks I can't run any of these vulkan games

Developer

Sorry! That’s our fault, the game isn’t that demanding. I guess the default Godot 4 export options are Vulkan, but I’m pretty sure it would work out of the box if we selected the OpenGL

If you want to try it I can make a OpenGL build for your system (you can ping me on discord)

Nice graphics, neat game. I included it in my compilation video series for the Godot Wild Jam #56, if you’d like to check it out. :)

Developer

Thanks a lot, I checked it out ;)

Good job, I feel like you put in a lot of mechanics! I couldnt respawn a second time in the final battle, but it was cool trying out different things. The soundtrack fit the style pretty good as well.

Wups, third person the lock happens too, we’re very sorry…

Thanks for the feedback!

This was great.

Enjoyed the soundtrack, the character customization and the strategy.

Managed to get to the boss level, but unfortunatelly hard locked me out of the game. I threw a wind granade to an enemy one square diagonal down left, which kicked me all the way to the diagonal top right where I died, but didn't restart the level.

The one thing it would improve are the controls. Having to pick again and again.

Maybe hotkeys? Or right click to move/attack and buttons for specials.

Developer

Thanks! :)

You’re (at least) the second person the lock happens to, I guess we should have at least added a “retry” button to avoid this… And yes, reworking the controls / hotkeys could help the flow of the game

That was fun!  Great animation on the characters.  I like the West Wing style talk while we walk story telling.  The push mechanics had a lot of opportunity to be creative in the fights.

I did get a soft-lock when I lost a round twice and it wouldn't let me retry.  Not sure if this is worth trying to patch out or if I won the lottery.

Developer

Thanks a lot!

And sorry, I though we had tested enough to make sure no such thing could happen, but I guess it somehow slipped :/

All good.  Yeah everything else worked great, just wanted to pass the bug report along.

Really good game!! the only thing would be to bind the actions to keys on a keyboard! it would just make the gameplay that little quicker rather than clicking the buttons every turn! excellent job!!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, we definitely should have done that
