Challenging, but extremely fun and fluid controls, pleasing graphics and animation, and nice gameplay, really liked it.

Great inspiration from celeste! the graphic style is respected! it's a pity that the controls are not more simple and accessible for me. i had a lot of trouble to link jump + down attack for a level. i have the impression that there is an input buffer much too big/no.
but in any case I really enjoyed the inspiration!
I also recognized the inspiration of Hollowknight for the down attack :D
(The step sound is a bit too loud for my ear)
I'd still recommend the game to a friend!
Loved the animations in this game. I really enjoyed the dashing mechanic. I wish I could rebind the controls though! Because I don't have any arrow keys!
I really like the graphics and music, which I think is atmospheric. The characters and attacks have nice animation, and the idea of dashing at enemies is very original in my opinion, but a bit difficult to use when there are a lot of enemies. The levels are well designed and challenge the player, unfortunately for me the last ones are a little too difficult.
Really cute graphics and a great start. A shame about the controls, I would've loved to play it the whole way through but I gave up. Definitely very Celeste-inspired, would love to see more of your own personal touch on the next one!
It's pretty good, and I found it quite hard, but that's because I suck :D Very good execution for the parts I was able to get through with my modest skills :D
Fairly good for a first GWJ! Very impressive. I agree with others that said the controls were a little unresponsive sort of - you may want to read my recent dev log on Impish Winze, which is a Metroidvania my team and I made for GWJ 54; I had similar types of control issues, but we fixed it right after the jam ended with some interesting code. That said, the music was a tad repetitive, but my favorite part of it was the absolute squash and expand you got on the character sprite when jumping/landing. Very cool stuff! I wish I'd had a controller to test this out with, because I imagine I'd have done better! Overall, well done!
Really fun game, I struggled with the controls not working how I'd think they would sometimes. but i really like the mechanics you put into the game
Very fun game. The controls were a bit unresponsive at times but was still able to get through a lot. Kind of like celeste a bit. Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoyed this game! The art is wonderful and the platforming mechanics are very well put together, it feels fun to get new abilities and combine your movement options together. My only gripe is that sometimes when inputting a slash or dash, the attack would not register for me, though I didn't have this issue at all when inputting a jump. Other than that, I found the game very fun and engaging to play.
- Theme: I think the main theme tie in was the first screen
- Fun: The mechanics all built on top of each other nicely, made it to the room with 3 keys and 4 bats after circling back around from the sword
- Controls: The jumping mechanics were great, but the dash and targeting system was challenging to get the hang of. Having a little bit of delay after respawning would help in rooms that spawn you close to spikes (I may have lost many hearts to this 😅)
- Graphics: I really like all of the polish on the VFX and the squash when landing, that was a nice touch
- Audio: SFX were excellent and the music fit the vibe and colors
- A11y: The key symbols were a little challenging to see and the sudden static pop was intense (personally was not an issue for me, but I'm not sure if the sudden contrast would cause issues for others sensitive to flashes)
- Originality: The mechanics present fit the Metroidvania style, specifically the dash mechanic from Spectre Knight was a cool addition for this game
