Hey, what you have, is good :)  Look forward to future versions.

Developer

Thank you!

Cool mix of 2D and 3D.  I like the idea of making the player concentrate on using each weapon equally - in a lot of these game once you find the most powerful weapon then there's no reason to ever change.

Thanks for calling out the mix of 2D and 3D, my hope is to hone that style and having that feedback gives me hope that I’m pursuing the right track!

Sad its unfinished! I pretty much liked your menu and also your 3d graphics and would have loved to play the game. The animations were also nice!

Developer

I’m also sad I couldn’t get combat working, but I will keep working on the craft and hopefully you’ll be able to play one I finish through in the future 😄 Thank you for the comment!

Can sorta see where you were going with the game. Does look interesting and it has a nice art style as well.

Congrats on the entry

Thanks for kind words and for    taking the time to leave a comment!

Great artstyle!  Love the menu and little marshmellow dudes.  Hope to see a full build of this one day.

Developer

Thanks, Calamador! Marshmallow dudes is a great description of them 😁

I wanted to fight!!! But nothing seemed to happen... I hope you get it fixed, I want to try it and give it a review :P

Developer(+1)

I like the energy! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to implement combat in time, so you won't get the satisfaction of  fighting for this one.

Awwww, next time then!

Great concept! Feel free to expand it more. I did notice the guys can stick to you, but it's all very cute so it's okay!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I actually think your comment helped me get an idea of why they stick. It's probably the difference between move_and_slide and move_and_collide. I'll have to do some more reading and experimentation with those two.

Submitted

I came across this in my own game as well. I think I solved it with setting the CharacterBody's motion mode to floating instead of grounded (according to the editor's note it changes the behavior of move_and_slide). I used 4.0 RC 1 and my game is 2D so the solution in 3D might not be the same.

Developer

Thanks for the info! My game is 2D as well, so maybe it’s the same exact issue.

I am having similar issues where the enemies don't seem to be interacting properly

Developer

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to implement   damage for my submission

Hey, I tried out your game using Chrome but I wasn't able to progress or lose. Nothing seemed to happen when I got caught. Just wanted to give you a heads up as you are able to make changes for game breaking bugs; I'd like to come back and give you a rating after its fixed!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the info about running on Chrome. I believe what you described   is working as intended. Once you land on the ship with the enemies, there isn't much to do except run around and see the attack animations. They don't damage the enemies and enemies also cannot damage you.

Ahh, I see now - I didn't notice the unfinished tag. I like the idea for the weapons growing jealous over time. I followed so I can give it a try when you finish!
