The soundtrack is amazing!
This game was pretty fun. a nice take on music themed combat without needing to be on the beat. My only complaint is that sometimes it feels like the enemies will spawn right next to me and I would get hit no matter what.
This was a fun game to play with the beat. Having the attack sync with the music got me in the mood to kill enemies.

I didn't read the description at first, so I thought that snakes just go invisible from time to time :D
It feels good to play, even though you don't control shooting, as everything happens in a nice rythm, great work with that!
Art looks great and the variety of enemies is nice. Those crabs are scary :)
I wasn't sure what was the end goal in each level, as at first I was waiting for timer to go to 0, but then I realized that the gray wall is not colliding with player and you can just walk through it and reach level end. I suppose this is a bug.
I had this same problem where i just walked through the grey wall on level 2 and 3 but apart from that loved the game :D
Ugh, that is so frustrating. I just checked my code and it was a simple fix I can update post-jam. Thanks for mentioning it! I am shocked that never came up during my playtesting. I'll add a note of the bug to the description so people don't just accidentally skip the level.
About 5 seconds into the game I was doing an embarrassing stank face at the soundtrack and was thrilled to hear the music change between levels. I also love that the projectiles from snakes and crabs show outside of the heartbeat radar, so you can really get a sense of where everything is in the arena.
It always seemed like Otto's shooting was going to sync up with the music but never quite seemed to sync up perfectly – this would be amazing, especially when everything speeds up later in the level!

I enjoyed this game. Clean, cute pixel art and cool music. I liked how everything ramps up towards the end of a level and then the next level starts again with a more relaxing speed. Makes for nice changes of pace overall :)
