Much appreciated :) Got some more content coming as soon as the jam is over! Been thinking of way too many new features to add to this. That’s a good sign, right? ;p

That’s a great idea. I originally wanted it to be a command line type thing where you write all the commands out, then settled on this because I couldn’t figure out the UX of how to do that in a nice way within the time frame.

I think that the full game will be a better resolution, so it gives more space to do something nice like that.

Haha, thanks! I started writing it with “underlings” then realized there was a missed opportunity and corrected my mistake ;p

Huh, that’s very unusual. If you ever play it again and it happens, please let me know :)

Thanks so much for playing!

I really appreciate that :D My mind has been racing since doing the jam; definitely in scope creep mode now. Have a bunch I’m going to update post jam.

OH! I didn’t realize that. Will definitely fix that up. I imagine that would be quite humorous.

Sound is definitely quick to follow. Thanks for playing!

Thanks so much for saying that. I know that the lack of levels makes it hard to really enjoy it. But watch this space, I had too much fun making this and have already added a bunch of new content in for post jam :D

This is so cool. I was instantly drawn into this game with the art. It is so well done, great submission!

Damn! This is so cool. I really love this concept so much. Really well executed and super polished. Great job on such an awesome submission :D

Thanks for the kind words! Was only doing the jam part time, so didn’t get to everything we wanted. Will definitely be adding more for the post jam version for sure!

Ahh, that’s a really good call out! Maybe the bubble can become a bit transparent after a second or two of inactivity to try show you what is going on?

Such a simple but well executed game. The sound was so satisfying and peaceful, really accompanied the game well. Great entry!

SO COOL! This is the best game I’ve played so far. I really love how you’ve taken a popular trope in games and completely turned it on it’s head. Then matching the jam theme :chef-kiss: Great work and great execution of the idea! Well done.

Such a cool game! You’ve managed to capture the essence and fun of Balatro and apply it to something completely new. I’m in awe of how much you were able to pack in! Great job.

That is seriously so cool! I’m not sure how you did it, but there is a real adrenaline rush while playing this. The effects are great and you’ve managed to make something really neat!

Wow, that’s such a cool take on a classic. I really enjoy the diner dash style games and this is no exception. Great submission!

Nice submission! Was a fun take on the loop theme. The aesthetic was really unique and added real ambience to the experience. The camera rotating was disorienting, but in a way that provided challenge. Keep it up!

I’d seen a couple of takes on the multiple lives thing, but this one really takes the cake! Such a clever lens to apply with the theming. The box being the end was icing on the cake! Well done :D

Thanks! Hopefully post jam we will be able to flesh it out a bit more and explore the puzzle space 🤞🏻

Awesome! That’s so nice to hear. I’m working on some more content for once the jam is over. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for playing, really glad you enjoyed it! Already working on more levels for once the Jam is over. Sadly didn’t get to it while doing the jam part time. Appreciate the comment!

Ahh yup. I’ve added some more instructions to the page to hopefully clear up the expectations.

I think what may not have been clear is that the tater won’t stop when it reaches a trapdoor and that you have to have to get them both to reach the door on the same move.

This then may have lead to why it seemed to go back levels if you overshot and it failed with max moves and made you restart the same level.

Hey! Thanks for playing.

Do you mind giving some more insight into what you found difficult so that I can update the page to have better instructions?

That's so awesome! I'm glad you got surprised :D Thanks so much for playing and for the very nice words!

There’s always something nice in a well crafted itch page.

And I’m so glad you did! I think this might be my favourite game of the jam!

What a great, well rounded game! You've managed to fit so many things into such a well put together package. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Could definitely zen out to this and play for hours. Well done! :D

What a fantastic game! I had so much fun playing this and the humour throughout was absolutely delightful. I really enjoyed this submission end to end! Thanks for making such a great game :D

That's so wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for playing it and saying such kind things. <3

Hey, just a heads up, I think I found a bug in your game. I got to the end fine, but I think there is something playing in the background where someone is cutting onions. But seriously, a great game! Well done as per usual.

Also AMAZING voice acting! Seriously raised it to a whole new level. I'm going to have to add it to my games in the future. Well done to the whole team <3

What a great take on the theme. This is a really nice submission. I love how chaotic it can get when trying to watch for what needs to be made and getting all the bits in the right order. Nicely done!

I have to reflect on what schubasteve234 said and that at some point I feel like I became one with the cubes. Though I broke way more than just one. Really neat entry and I can see where you were getting to with it. Would love to see you spend more time on it!

Nice submission and good take on the theme. Well done :)

What a twist! Such a nice game and a really fun take on the theme. Awesome job :D

Hey, this is a great start on that! Once the jam is over, definitely room to hone your skills more and make it into a longer story. Would be a lot of fun!

Yeah, that's absolutely fair. I'll give it a go on controller in a bit. The movement is just so responsive, it's so slick. Good work!

And I do want to explicitly call out that it didn't impact my fun on the game. I seriously enjoyed this entry!

Thanks so much! I figured I’d do a small game this time, ended up being just as much work trying to make it good 😅 glad you liked it!

awesome! It just took a little extra patience, but was super awesome regardless!

Woohoo! What a great twist on a classic. I really enjoyed this approach to the theme and it's so polished too. Really well done overall! Great job :D

Yess! That is such a neat concept! I really loved the other character helping out along the way, super well done. Then BAM that twist, so good. I was wondering where it was going after that first jump. Very impressive. Well done!

Nice entry! The UI and art style were super cool. I really like the aesthetic a lot. Was fun to put together a bunch of ingredients to see what I got. Keep it up :D

Nice entry! I like where you're going with it. It was a good level of challenge once I got into things :) Keep up the good work!

Once in the flow, this game is super zen! Nice entry :D

What a great take on the theme! This was so much fun wrapped up into 5 levels! Would be so excited to see where you took this if you wanted to work on it after the jam.

Well done!
