Good idea! Can definitely feel the Kingdom inspiration. I won pretty easily without thinking too much, wish there was more depth to the gameplay (but well that’s hard to achieve in a week). Game is pretty polished, too bad there isn’t any sounds or music.
Btw if you participate to next GWJ I can play your next game on stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/videos/878547511 )
Thank you. I’m also disappointed I didn’t get to add audio. Hopefully next time I’ll plan a bit better and not run out of time.
I definitely intend to participate next time and I would be honored if you’d stream my game!
Found this game relaxing and enjoyable! Really beautiful art too. I also liked the handy placement of the controls. Well done!
Thank you for playing! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Oh no! 40 days passed and I have not found the relic :-(
But what i have found was fun lol! Building the tribe is strangely addicting and seeing all those people work on their own was very satisfying.
All it needs is a little sound and maybe other areas as the grasslands, but other than that it's very cool! My favorite of this jam so far!!
Thanks so much for playing! I’m glad you found fun :)
Yes there was so much more I wanted to do, but time was the limiting factor.
No sound? or it was just me?
Fun little game, good job.
I unfortunately ran out of time for sound :(
I lost my first sheep to a bear because I thought that just two people couldn't stand against one. Then they start throwing stones and the big duffus just ran away... so yeah, bears aren't so tough.
Once you travel there's no way of going back, right? Or you have to keep trac of the names in the stones? I lost myself a little bit haha
Haha! Yes the bears are really not too much of a problem.
There is no way to travel back. And there is really only grasslands, so the name would not be helpful either. I had wanted to add different environments, but… you know, time.
Time is a cruel mistress, indeed 😅
Moral of the story; if you don't give your friends everything they want, they might turn around and steal your sheep.
Lol, was a fun and straightforward little game. There might have needed a bit more balancing, but at the same time, I just sort of ran through everything. I'm sure if I went at a more reasonable pace, it would have felt different. The art was pretty clean, the time cycle was super cool! My main complaint is I couldn't eat the bear.. xP
Yeah I started the jam late and ran out of time. I definitely would have liked to add some more interactions and balancing. And audio.
Thanks for playing, I’m glad you got to experience the betrayal of your tribespeople XD it was a last minute addition because I hadn’t implemented any penalty for not feeding them. I think it worked nicely.
Lol for a last second addition it felt like a very logical result. So, well done! ^^
Very smooth gameplay and a decent take on the theme! I agree with BrokenCogGames that it was really nice to have the controls info at the bottom at all time to reference to. Simple graphic style but very well made and is consistent all the way though. I cheered with my follow tribesmen/women when we found the artifact. :) Were there any audio? I didn't hear any when I played.
Unfortunately I ran out of time and didn’t get audio in the game 😓
Thanks for the comment, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Graphics and animations are nice. It's nice having controls laid out on bottom in case I forgot. Nice game!
Thank you!
Soothing, addictive game
Fun to play.
