Woopwoop! This one was definitely more ambitious than the eggie game, and was very unique. Somehow, a game I can only see the Sage team making 😎
It's awesome to see your output keep improving :) there were small bugs, and I think the pathfinding of the people searching being a bit wonky actually works to the player's advantage, and I was very impressed with all the UI features you added in the game, the log book, the level select, the messages, the friggin riddles I realized I was so bad at! Soph's art here was very unique, loved the broccolis and the cauliflowers, haha. But...
Do broccolis bark?
Thanks for the feedback! We do want to be ambitious but we also want to survive the jam!
I think we need to aim for a bit more testing time to iron bugs out. The pathfinding is very hacked together so I'm glad it kind of worked out overall, but I would definitely do it differently next time. I was hoping I would get away with the bugs and hacks, like I did with the great egg-scape (it's shocking what I've gotten away with really) :D
All credit to Sophia and Sarah for the art and writing/riddles! I think you'll have to ask them whether broccoli barks!
All the broccoli trees I've ever met have barked! Smh.
That was quite a unique experience :) I think I managed to win without getting poisoned (and I think I picked up all of the powerups). SFX and voiceover were really well done as well as the overall look and feel. Definitely a memorable experience. Nice game
Awesome, nice job :) We've really struggled with tuning difficulty in our previous jam games so hopefully we came closer this time. I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks for playing! High praise from the master of weird (from playing your past few games).. I'm glad you liked it :)
The dark twist on the theme was kinda funny, I like the voice over
Thank you for playing! We really appreciate it!

The concept is great and the AI was smooth! I enjoyed being a parasite more than I think I should have. Great job!
Haha! I'm really happy you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for playing and commenting. We really appreciate it!

Nice, humorous take on the theme.
I love the audio, it is super unsettling. I think my favorite sound is the “squish!” when you die. All the humans going “do do do do do” is creepy too.
Thank you for playing and commenting! We really appreciate it! <3
Sarah
Very nice, tons of polish, sadistic collisions, pleasant music and wholesome voice acting while lethally invading human organisms. I mean, is someone there? Whats not to like? Suspicious. Kappa
Suspicious indeed! Thank you so much for playing and commenting! We really appreciate it! <3

My first goal each level was just getting the speed boosts. After that it was pretty smooth sailing. Awesome voice work, and way to really sell this little parasite. The music was peppy and pleasant. But I'm a sucker for riddles. My main issue was having the interact be [E]. Given the nature of the game and needing to use the [WASD] to move, having to used your finger on [D] to infest felt a bit inefficient at times. But I didn't check if the arrows work too. That isn't to say the controls weren't responsive! Movement was smooth overall. And I did end up finding a warm home for the winter. :D
Thank you for playing and commenting!! We really appreciate it! <3. I'm glad you found your lovely warm human in the end!
Ooh BTW if you pop into settings, you can change your keys and infest with any button you like ;)
Thanks for playing!
Sarah
No way! Ah man I should have checked hahah. That's a complete oversight on my part. At any rate, looking forward to your next Jam entries!
This is a little creepy for my taste. But I have to say that I do look forward to see what you guys make every jam, as they are always really different and with certain level of artistic quality. Good audio and voice overs( as usual). Really nice and interesting visuals(as usual), controls were smooth and I was able to find my perfect host in the end with all the cheeky hints and feeling a little sick to my stomach afterwards.
Haha! I'm glad you found your perfect human!Thank you for playing and commenting . We really appreciate it <3.
Sarah
Cool idea for the theme. Really enjoyed the voice over as well. Well done!
Thank you for playing! Much appreciated!
Sarah
I love the content/theme dissonance in this game: Parasitic worms crawling up people's butts in some kind of happy mushroom fairyland.
I'll be taking some inspiration from this game...
Thank you for playing! Haha! Prepare yourself for the Noddy Parasite Butts expansion.
Sarah
I mean this as a compliment: this game is really offputting. There's a juxtaposition between the bright, colourful visuals, the cheerful music, and the humans going "dum-de-dum" in a chipmunk voice; and the fact that you're a parasitic organism infesting and killing your human hosts.
10/10, I never want to play it again.
Thank you for playing! Your comment made me chuckle. Never turn your back to a parasite!
Sarah
Wow! that's a great game, really enjoyed playing it, very unique and original.
Thank you! I'm really happy you enjoyed it!
Sarah
Really nice story with a nice spin on the theme! The sudden turns of the humans were a little hard to escape sometimes, but it's easy enough to get away with some speed-ups once detected or going stealth. Well done!
Thank you! I'm glad you managed to get away from those pesky humans eventually! Thank you for playing!
Sarah
I like the spin you took on the theme! Very nice voice over as well :)
Enjoyed your game, thanks!
Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed it!
