Nice theme use, and a good entry! Though it took me several “swaps” before I saw the timer in the top right (large screen), I thought I was hitting something causing the swap. Character was well animated, nice how each version of the layout had its own mechanics. Could have been longer or with more levels, maybe introducing some of the hazards over time! Controls felt nice, and was a pleasure to realize there was even grab mechanics implemented, though the player was left to sort of figure these things out themselves in the game itself. For a first game, great work!

Very good use of the theme! It’s actually a lot of work to make different worlds for a game jam, so congrats for this!

I liked having different worlds with different enemies and such. I think you saw me during my livestream and you already know that my favorite one was the dessert!

I was a bit confused at first when the world where changing, and I was losing my way. But then I got used to it and it was fine.

Congrats for your entry!

Hahahaha, very good! The changing of level out of nowhere caught me off guard, but I loved it. The lack of control over when and how it changes is something I found very interesting, led to some nice adaptation on the moment. I didn't knew we had double jump from the start, but eventually I realized each time we're hit, we recover our double jump and that made the game instantly easier. I thought getting hit by the candies meant death, but turns out they just push you slightly out of your trajectory, which could mean death if you couldn't double jump and get back on track, turns out you can use them as makeshift platforms, kinda. Ended up beating it in 2 minutes. The animations were very good, the jumping had a lot of animation frames, the exploding pumpkins were nicely animated as well, the variety of pumpkins was also a nice touch. Backgrounds were very colorful as well, along with everything else which is usually good but I felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of colors on the candy level, it is not visually clear what is going on at each part of the screen, especially because we're on a timer to the next switch that we don't know when is going to happen. I really like this game overall, the way you incorporate the the theme on the gameplay is really good. Great job!

This title has a unique feel to it. The art, to me, is a direction inspired by the 90s and I loved that part. In terms of the art direction again, I played a similar game sometime ago, needless to say I was instantly reminded. The switching of level I’d say could have been done slightly more… “flamboyantly” however considering this was your first project for most of the team I congratulate you on the feat! This is not easy to pull off as a first project, not at the complexity you set out to achieve. I enjoyed the platforming, climbing the ledges and analyzing the worlds to see what happens where and whether I need to wait for a tactical advantage. This is a design that would be super interesting to take further. Wish you all luck if you decide to do so :)

Took me a few minutes to get the gist of it, as the first few changes were somewhat disorienting. But once I did, it proved to be quite enjoyable, for the rest of the platforming. A very literal interpretation of the theme to be sure.

The platformer controls felt very natural, and I appreciate the work that went into them.  The art work was also amazing.

Nice Game! I really enjoyed the graphics and how the theme was a very prominent game mechanic.

One thing, however, is that the controls from the start were not clear. Neither was the objective, nor the timer. It took me a minute to understand what I was doing, but even then I still never realised there was a double jump, or that you could hang from ledges.

But the graphics were really good. I can tell you put a lot of time into them. I also liked how the level design was symetrical with minor variations, meaning that you could switch from one level to the other with no glitches or great disorientation.

Overall, great game! I would totally recomend this to speedrunners!
