Nice sprite, great controls and interesting/unique take on a shoot'em up! I'll be revisiting this game often! Great job!

Really cool concept, i suck at it cuz i died a lot but still a really cool game, i love the art as well :D

A fun game. A very neat design and interesting game-play. Colliding with you tail of  weapons means that just one takes at least one direction of movement which gets annoying pretty quick. The lack of SFX and music is a bummer, though I'm not sure that it's not a problem on my side.

A very nice game play! Just that theres some collision bug that I cant really move to certain place after generating and releasing the weapon. It has a very nice art!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, There were a lot of last-minute-bugs involved in it!

For now I suggest to press [R] between each games to reload the current scene. At least it guarantees that there are none of those pesky invisible collisions left from the last game. But we will (maybe?) (probably?) release another more polished version in which all of these bugs don't exist!

It was a nice move to have the code repository open

Developer(+1)

Yeah, we really hope it will be of some purpose for some people! Don't hesitate to take inspiration from it or reuse some part of it in your own projects (according to the MIT and the CC-BY licenses, of course!)

Incredible graphics!!! Really beautiful artwork and sprites. Very intuitive gameplay as well. I'll admit that I was not very good at the game, but it was satisfying to be able to "grow" a larger tail of add-ons! Great work! I really enjoyed this entry!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks!! We're happy to see that the time spent making all these sprites has paid off!

Actually I think it's the game that is very difficult rather than you not being good at it ;)
We didn't take enough time to truly balance the game, so we ended up with something very harsh. This is something we'll try to improve next time!

Developer

I managed to beat the dragon a few times, but yeah, only "a few time" although being the developer is not very good i guess…

I love this game! One of my favorites so far, looks great and plays great. My only complaint is that being completely stopped in your tracks by the addons can be cumbersome and really stop the flow of the game. I would love to see how this feels if the addons effected mobility in some other way. I hope you keep this project up!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for your feedback! We really appreciate it!

We had very few time left at the end for testing and balancing, but we indeed noticed that the collisions between the player and the addons was the most difficult thing to handle. If we find the time to do so, maybe we will release another version where you don't collide at all with your addons. We will link it up in the description so you can try it out when (and if) it comes out!

Nice mechanic for the shoot-em-up, it works well! Graphics are also good.

Thank you!

It will be relesead one day? The art is beautiful and the controlers are very responsible.

 i just love it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
Did you play it with a controller? Actually none of us tried it with a controller before, but it should work in theory. Maybe I think the [drop] key is missing on the controller?
I unfortunately highly doubt that we will ever release a more than that version of this game. However, one of us will probably continue to work on the polish and the mechanics a bit more and leave it in a more finished aspect on our itch page. Stay tuned!

Sorry for my bad english XD.

I try to say the controls in the Keyboard are very responsible. Can't wait to play the new versions =).
